it was silly but juliette had the urge to reassure the man that she was going to be okay even though she was the one wincing each time she breathed. it also didn’t help that the child in the back was crying and all the brunette wanted to do was reach behind and coax the small child to sleep. but the pain was demanding all of juliette’s attention and so there she was, fighting to stay awake because she was terrified that if she did shut her eyes, she might not open them again. when they finally arrived at the hospital, the woman clutched onto his hand as they rolled her away to a room. his last five words were the last thing she remembered when the room went dark. the doctors were pleased to see that there wasn’t much blood loss however, she had broken a rib and her arm as well as spraining her ankle. eventually, a doctor returned to the waiting room to ask for the woman’s family, assuming the man who brought her was some– one closeto juliette.
dexter managed to get a close friend to come pick rosie up and have her for the night. he didn't know what this outcome would be, and how much of his time would be needed, but he knew that he would stay in the waiting room - with this girl. and that's what he did. he drank a countless amount of coffees and roamed the hollow room - back and forth, back and forth. after what felt a lifetime, a doctor finally came out. his first question was what his relation was to "juliette". "oh... i'm-i'm no one. i found her on the street. well, i witnessed it. i brought her here. is she okay?" it was a little while longer before dexter was allowed in to see her. maybe because it wasn't so serious after all - but he was very surprised. though the stench of the building didn't leave his being. it hadn't left him since the death of his beloved. "hey. hey, juliette? i'm so glad you're okay." dexter smiled, sitting beside her. god, she looked so much like millie. "i'm assuming they've called your family. and i just needed to know you were okay... i won't be a burden any longer, i'm sure you don't want me hanging around any more anyway. he smiled a large smile again. "i'm just really glad you're okay."

it was a terrible idea, she knew it as soon as juliette decided to go out to buy a mid– night snack at a nearby donut shop. with her luck, it wasn’t all too surprising that she laid on the road after being run over. of course she was hurt she thought pathetically. but juliette was close to passing out and could not yell at the man to take her to a hospital. she nodded and slung an arm around his shou– lders, allowing the stranger to take her over to the hospital. at this point, juliette was close to passing out and she was quite sure she was bleed– ing somewhere.
the scariest part about the situation was that this girl resembled millie so well. and he hurt every time he glanced at the wincing human being. thankfully, he got her in his car, yet she still hadn't verbally responded to him. she was awake, but dexter wasn't sure how close she was from blacking out. "we're on our way now," he spoke to the woman in the passenger seat. rosie had begun crying by now, and the sound of her screeches alarmed him further. "just hang on in there, alright?" dexter didn't know the extent of the woman's injuries. she could either be fine - a little cut and bruised - or it could be severe. and the uncertainty of this killed him at this moment in time. finally, he came to a stop outside the hospital. without a second thought, he clambered out from the driving seat and began shout- ing for help. in no time whatsoever, paramedics rushed over. he'd forgotten how much he hated hospitals. "i'll wait for you, okay?" he softly spoke, trying to remain as close to this stranger as he could - in amongst the havoc of the people in green. "i'll be waiting in there."

" hey, hey. you're okay! don't move. " dexter was crouched over the injured stranger. he was alone in the middle of the road, after the driver had escaped the scene. " we'll wait for an ambulance, okay? you look hurt. i think you're hurt. " by now he was seriously panicking. it was dark, and he had rosie in the car. then a new idea popped into his head. " hey - look. i need you to put your arm around me. my shoulder. i'm going to lift you over to the car, okay? " he knew he should be ringing for an ambulance right this minute, but he felt it'd only be wasting time. " i'll take you straight to the hospital. do you trust me? will you allow me to do this? "

takexshelter:
Parties were her thing, the environment of drunken bodies and pounding music seemed to be the most comfortable place for Inca to ever be. The week’s stresses were melting away with each drink that she threw back, and the more that she danced with the people around her; the better she felt. It wasn’t new to her that many people kept their eyes on her wherever she went - generally because of her looks and body. But the blonde had never let that get to her head, drinking up the attention but always being grateful for it. She’d thrown back a mouthful of whatever the hell had been poured into her red cup, before locking eyes with a blonde boy that she’d seen around here and there. Friends of friends, that’s what their relationship would be. Though Inca knew that both of them were somewhat hoping that would change to ‘fucked at a party once’ and maybe even ‘fuck every weekend’. Inca and Noah had been through a bit of a rough patch, the two just taking their frustrations out on each other through the past few weeks, rather than taking it out in bed. But whether or not her and Noah were functioning; it wasn’t like they were together. They were friends with benefits - no strings attached. And as much as Inca tried to pretend that there were no strings attached, it wasn’t hard to develop feelings for the boy who seemed to gain attention from girls everything for his tousled brown curls and enticing emerald eyes. Inca’s hand was in the blonde’s, his large fingers wrapping around her small palm securely. It was likely more in an attempt to stop her from falling over since she was so damn drunk now. Hell, stairs felt like Mount Everest. But they managed their way to the second level and searched briefly for a bedroom to use. Once spotted, they moved into the bedroom and kicked the door shut as clothes were being ripped off of each other and hungry kisses were shared. But that was until the room was filled with light again and the door slammed against the wall so hard, Inca was convinced that it’d left a hole in the plaster. It took her a moment for her eyes to adjust before her jaw dropped and she realised what was going on. Just as Noah’s fists landed square on the male’s face. “NOAH!” Inca screamed, lurching forwards to try and pull the boy off of the other, managing to get the blonde behind her back. Noah wouldn’t hurt her, not even if it meant he could beat the shit out of the guy she was just about to fuck. “What the hell do you think you’re doing? Oh my god.” She breathed, turning around and cupping the other’s cheek to check the damage. “Nice one, dickhead, I think you’ve broken his nose.”
every section of noah's being was pumping furiously with anger. he was even beginning to wonder why he had been so triggered by this... it was simply horrible. he never developed feelings for anyone, so why the hell did he care? all he knew was that he was mad and he was hurt and he was about to engulf himself into a fight - a battle with the odds out of his favour. he could have stood there and fought it out, but the position inca stood in the room made him realise that it was impossible to do this. noah would never lay a finger on her, and he didn't want the other guy to, either. but this didn't excuse the upset he felt within himself. after everything happening in his personal life, noah often went to inca as a release from that stress. the sex was good, and so was their relationship; because it wasn't one. but somewhere in amongst the caring and the talking and the hardcore sexting, noah seemed to have developed a deep connection with the blonde - now he had finally found out. whether that was because he genuinely liked her like that, or if she was simply an escaping mechanism, was a completely different story. still, he blamed her for his hurt at this moment in time - although it was mostly the vodka and rum's doing. " FUCK YOU, inca! " he roared, steam almost exhaling from his ears. " fuck you! " he turned away immediately, ready to head out of the door and pretend none of this ever happened. but a force stopped him, and he soon twisted back around to face the female. " did you do this to hurt me? purposefully? because - because it fucking worked! god - fuck you man. you know how i feel about you. felt. i guess you knew all along, right? this was your shitty plan. you're a fucking bitch, you know that? bitch! fuck you, inca. YOU are the reason i don't get attached. my family are the reason i don't get attached. the lot of you! " god, he was drunk. " fuck, i thought you were good! i thought you were so good! but you're like the rest of them! " a crowd had gathered, and every breath noah took, a part of his wall broke down in front of him. he wanted to drag inca away right now - carry on this conversation somewhere else. but he'd said too much. he'd said so much that he couldn't even remember - let alone know if he truly meant it or not. right now, however, it was pretty easy to see how sincere noah had become. for anyone's standards. " fuck you inca. " this time his voice was swollen; defeatist style. " just fuck you. " and with that, he pushed through the crowd at the door and pranced straight down the staircase. he somewhat hoped inca would follow him outside, but he never held up much hope for anyone in his life anymore.
#noah/inca#noahspeaks#omg i'm in love with this omg#and i literally love gigi and harry fcs#oh god i love this so much angst

takexshelter based on this plot
this was one of the rich kids' parties. a grand house which housed an ungrateful, spoilt brat and two clueless parents who both supposedly disappeared on a business trip at the same time. it was well into the night, and the place was already trashed. the grass was all beaten up, shards of glass hovered on every surface, the stickiness caused by spills of alcohol was almost impossible to ignore. noah always got irritated when parties heated up too much. he knew when he needed to leave and that time was most certainly now, but he had his eye set on her. and even though she hadn't once blinked in his direction tonight, he knew - in his alcohol infused mind - that was wanted him so badly. and noah was going to get her - like he always did. but when he began to make his way to find her since her short disappearance, noah was enraged to discover the palm of her hand enriched around somebody else's; leading her upstairs, to be exact. for a moment, he froze. go home noah, you idiot. you're fucking drunk. she's not that special anyway. but regardless of what that irritating natter of a voice told him, he was so angered. how could she do this to me, man? without any further hesitation, the boy sped upstairs - dropping his drink on the way. " WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING? " it was a lie to say noah's face hadn't diverted into a hot and sweaty mess as soon as he barged through the closed door. he pounced to grab her. in a way, he was marking his territory; she was his. " why the fuck are you touching her, aye? why the fuck are you touching her? " the other male, around the same height but a slightly bigger build than noah, didn't seem intimidated whatsoever. but that didn't phase the brunette. he was too intoxicated to realise what consequences may be ahead. but no more conversation was needed. brushing past his sexual acquaintance, he threw the first punch; landing perfectly on his opponents nose, sending him backward. big mistake.
