Stand Up Paddlers Clean Up
6 posts
Cleaning up the water, one SUP session at a time! Next time you're out on the water (be it Stand Up paddle, kayak, canoe, boat etc), find a piece of plastic or trash, and bring it back to shore to dispose of properly. Send a picture or just post a message with your general location - lets see how far we can spread this idea...

The good news is I couldn't find any plastic during my paddle today.  Covered quite a bit of distance, but nothing to be found - perhaps due to tide conditions?

#ocean #vancouver #cleanup Yesterday I couldn't find anything while out on the water.  This is good news, could my plan be working already???
Although when bringing the board back to shore, I found a plastic spoon on the beach just cm's away from the water.  One less piece of plastic making it's way into the water.   July 9th 1 piece

#ocean #plastics Today I used the pocket on the PFD to carry the plastic back in, but not ideal.  I think I'll get a mesh bag to help out

#Vancouver #SUP #CleanSUP The plastic bag that inspired me to start this - fished it out with my paddle and took it back into shore with me when I was finished my paddle.  One less plastic bag in the ocean!
