fresh tattoo still glimmering with gel as she skipped through grace’s house probably more drunk than she should be . “ gracie - ” she whined grabbing the girl by the hand , “ come do a shot with me ! ” @graciegarcia​

“ finny boy ! ” she shouted from across the lot as soon as she saw him . running full speed , even knocking over a person or two on her way , to launch herself into his arms . “ where are we going ? what are we doing ? and will there be snacks there ? ” @gcdspoke​

a sigh escapes her brims      as she looked       at clem ,      a roll       of    her eyes follows       ❛ clem, i love you.       i really do       but    please open      your eyes .      my brother      doesn’t do       that for      anyone    -      he hasn’t       felt    like this        about anyone     for        some time     and      he usually      doesn’t act     on        those feelings ,      we are      a lot   alike     and       this is one       of    those things      that    ,      i know .      he likes you .  ❜       she knows that        her twin         is going        to murder her      but        why hide it ?      why not give them       a slight push      and        maybe her brother       might have someone        who will be      on      his side     (      beside her    )      for once      in his        life .       once she begins      to speak         about her feather ,       their    is a       part of her ,          that wishes       that she      could speak to hers ,          that he would        understand        that she       loved cameron     and         that he could        just be her     father     and       love her.      the hold       on    her hand       only     intensifies      and      another squeeze       is elicited        from her grasp        ❛ i don’t think      there        is a      right thing         to say ,         all i can       really       say is that    :       ill be here       for whatever         you need ,        whenever you        feel like      you       have no one    ,         i’m right here ,        i’ll always       be here     ,      bebecita.  ❜ 

it wasn’t a surprise to her that once again , it was mafe who let her in , spilling secrets her twin had yet to share with clem . often times it made her wonder if he’d ever be open with her or if she’d constantly be guessing what was in his head , or worse , having to ask mafe because he wouldn’t tell her . “ are you sure ? ” chomping on her bottom lip as she turned the red head’s words over in her mind , “ like really , really sure , because i don’t want to let myself like him if you’re only like half sure . ” she’d said the words as if she didn’t already like him , but in her mind , she didn’t . he was just pepa . what that meant she couldn’t say . or more so , wouldn’t , things were generally better for her if she let them stay unspoken . she softened a little a gentle smile on her lips as she nodded , “ yeah i know . thanks ... ” even with everyone in the world offering to be there with her , she felt all alone , it was up to her to care for him . to make sure that her father was okay , and like it or not , when her father died it would be just her . it was a fact that up until a few years ago , hadn’t bothered her much , it wasn’t like hwan was the type of man who ever held any affection for her . until suddenly he did . it was like years of guilt and shame unraveled themselves before her and she didn’t know how to handle watching the man she’d grown to love fade away . there’s got to be a way i can help him ... it was all she’d been able to think about lately . “ but enough about me , how are you ? ”

he had been worried sick about her ,         he didn’t know what it       was        about her .         he didn’t get it       but       he cared about her        and          it had been       a     long time ,       since he cared       about        someone         like this.       he waited for her       to say        something ,        anything      but      the more she cried ,         the more       he wanted         to fix it      :       to make her feel       better        but         emotions were something       that       he wasn’t       too familiar       with ,        feelings were        something      that        his family        didn’t do ,         they just shoved       it deep down        and        pretended that      it          didn’t exist ,         it’s the way         that they      all         worked out         at least ,       that’s what he thought.        his hand soothe        her back       ,        doing the best       that       he could ,      by simply      just        being there        for her.         her prose causes        a furrow       of         his brows      but      then he thinks         a little harder      and        her father is         the first thing        that comes to        his          mind.        his initial response          would be        for him         to take care       of       her father         and      teach him a lesson         but          also seeing        how upset        she was .        he knew that          was something          that she wouldn’t        want .         ❛ father’s        are      —-       complicated ,        mi reina.  ❜         he whispers          into her hair       and        slowly pulls away ,         his hands       now cupping          her face ,         thumbs wiping        her tears          ❛ but you’re         not alone ,         you’ll never          be alone .         i might not be        the best         company at times ,         but          i’m here for        whatever          you need,         i’ll never leave       … .      te lo         prometo !     ❜

he pressed her to his chest like a flower he was terrified of crushing , there’s a gentleness to the way he handled her that she didn’t even know he possessed , “ yeah you’re definitely right about that . ”  generally speaking , when she was with pepa she felt like there was nothing she couldn’t do , but even now she just felt hopeless . she’d fought for so long to finally feel loved , to have it ripped from her now was a pain she didn’t know how to carry and despite all the prodding and prying of the people who loved her , she refused to try and put down . he was her burden and if she released it , what was she left with but scars that’d scab over but never fully heal . “ fathers are ... ” sighing as she trailed off . complicated . she laughed softly shaking her head as she stared up at him through watery eyes , “ you can’t promise that . ” she sniffled wiping away snot with her sleeve . people always leave , that’s okay ... but it’s easier when they don’t promise to stay . “ but i hope you do . ” she blinked away the last of the tears . forcing them back down into the box they’d sprung from before popping up onto the tips of her toes to press a kiss to his neck , lipstick painting his tattoos a soft shade of pink , “ i like having you around . ” never one to linger on her sadness she brushed past it almost as quickly as it’d started . a sly smirk replaced her once sad frown , “ tell the truth , did you really come all this way because you missed little ol’ me ? ” eyelashes still wet with tears while she bat them in his direction with the most demure face she could muster , “ because if you did then i missed you too , but if you didn’t , then i didn’t . ”

“oh, well why wouldn’t you be? i’m fantastic,” she said, playfully tossing her hair behind her shoulder. “but also, why do they think that? what did we do that gave them that impression?”

“ you’re stellar but i am also amazing so you better be in love with me back . ” she teased eyes rolling , “ it’s because of that day we went shopping and i made you hold my hand all day . they’re saying that combined with our beach trip from a couple weeks ago it’s clear that we’re head over ass for one another . ”
