Author’s Bio...
My name is Shaun Williams (AKA “Crazy Eights” to some.) I am a resident of Clifton, Texas. I moved to Clifton at the age of 14 and went through high school here. I enlisted in the Marine Corps at the age of 17 and shipped out to boot camp at MCRD San Diego two weeks after high school graduation. I enlisted to be a jet engine mechanic originally and went through my first jet engine school in Pensacola, Fl. I was afforded the opportunity to switch over to rotary wing and accepted the offer then went through a helicopter mechanic school on Campe Pendleton in California. I worked several different jobs in the Marines, though, and never really got stuck in one place for too long. I deployed in 2010 and traveled to several different countries across the Pacific and Middle East. During deployment I worked combat cargo and as a helicopter mechanic primarily. I got the opportunity to engage in VBSS operations (counter piracy ops) and take over Somalian pirates as well as humanitarian missions in East Timur and Pakistan. I spent about two months in Jordan in support of Operations Desert Fox which was a joint op aimed at training the Jordanian military to go into Afghanistan. I got out of the Marines in 2012 after four years. I wanted to stay and deploy again but had injured my knee in Jordan and was medically separated with an honorable discharge. I returned to Clifton following my service and began working at L-3 Communications as a mechanic on Navy P-3 airplanes. I worked there until L-3 did a few rounds of mass layoffs due to government budget cuts. I then worked building hydraulic lifts, airplane engines again after that, then I spent two years working as the Maintenance Suprrvisor for a feed mill here in Clifton. During a portion of that time I also stood up a non profit organization that’s helps veterans, served as the Clifton Archery Club non profit President for two years, and also served as a district officer for Texas Bikers group. I got married and had a daughter. She’s a beautiful little red head now four years old. Her mother and I are no longer together. I am by no means perfect, folks, and do not claim to be. I didn’t realize how much some things out of my past and out of the Marines affected me for quite some time and still do. A lot of people go to bed at night and, we’ll, I don’t know what they see in their mind as they slowly drift off, but I usually see body parts, pools of blood, helicopter wreckage, things like that. Then I fall asleep and play movies in my head of helicopters crashing and fighting a relentless enemy. Let’s just say that I don’t get many good nights sleep. Anyhow, I didn’t realize what all of that was and what it was doing to me but I got pretty lost for a while and found alcohol to be the best answer for a bit. That had a lot to do with why my wife left. I did start drinking too much. I was reserved. I pulled away from her and everyone. Then she left and that only made things worse. Then I started getting harassed by the Clifton PD and that made it a little worse. Then I lost my job and it got worse yet. I wasn’t drowning myself in the bottle, so to speak, but I was drinking too much. Then the VA had prescribed me Hydrocodone for pain and I found myself getting to like those a little too much. A Hydro and a whiskey and coke became my sleeping medicine for a little while. My wife left in April, our divorce that she filed was granted in August, and she remarried in December. That took a toll more than she’ll ever know. Perhaps it was my fault but It was rough nonetheless. A counselor at the VA ended up talking me into attending a PTSD program with the VA. It was a two month program which required staying up at the VA Monday through Friday and attending classes. I was pleased with the program. It was nice to meet other vets from all branches who were going through some of the same stuff. My point in disclosing some of the aforementioned information is simply for transparency; I have nothing to hide. Just as we all are so am I just a mixture of this and of that, a combination of choices and experiences. I’ve got a 144 IQ according to the last test I took so I’m no dummy but I don’t claim to be a genius either. My personality matches less than 3% of the entire U.S. population but I try to get along with everyone. I’m living and learning. I make mistakes. I don’t always make the right choices. Sometimes I let my emotions override my logic and sometimes I allow logic to completely shroud my emotions. Well, that’s about me summarized.

Welcome...
(This blog is more mobile friendly.) Welcome to my blog about the corruption and misconduct of and by our local police force here in Clifton, Texas. The information contained here is inevitably going to anger a whole lot of people but it’s about time that everyone knows the truth. The intent is not to trash talk or slander anyone nor is it to actually anger anyone; the objective of these articles are to simply state what has occurred and provide you, the reader, with the information that I and others maintain. We have tried about every avenue out there to make something happen with this and have thus far received minimal help. When I was turned away by our mayor I decided, for the second time, that I am going public. I have absolutely made every attempt to as factually accurate as possible. Any statements which were simply told to me are discribed as such. Myself and the good people who are involved in this current mess of a town have a lot of supporting documentation to back our claims which are discussed here. These articles are both a compilation of what has personally happened to me, what I have witnessed, or what has been reported to me. With the layout of this website, you’ll need to scroll to the bottom then read coming back up. I have numbered each article to help you keep your place. I would like to add that I do believe that most law enforcement are good people and the majority of our Clifton cops are probably decent citizens. Some officers, I’m sure, are simply doing what they’re told to do by higher authority. Enjoy.

#15 - “Outing a Chief”
I have recently come to learn, by account of a witness, that Trace Hendricks may have helped the City Council of Meridian in outing their former Chief, Chris Blanton. He reportedly said that he had helped because he didn’t like that Cheif Blanton and this woman used to be friends. If you’re from this area then you probably heard about some of what went on in Meridian and it even made KWTX news. I was also made aware by a confidential informant that Chief Blanton had some derogatory information on other people and that the evidence was ignored (sounds familiar.) I will post the link to the KWTX report.

#14 - “Crystal”
My friend, against my advice, was dating a girl named Crystal. He had known her from his childhood and they ended up getting together many years later. After they dated for a while we inevitably discovered that she had an alcohol problem and had been hiding liquor bottles around the house and in her vehicle. She got drunk one night and picked a fight with my friend. During that dispute she cut herself and smeared blood onto his truck then claimed, “Look, now it looks like you cut me and I tried to get away.” He immediately dialed 911 and explained the situation and that she was expressing suicidal Ideations. Clifton PD responded and my friend got his kids together, left, and came to my house. We later learned that officer Gage Guinn, who had responded, left the girl alone after her mother had agreed to come from the Waco area to pick her up. Crystal later said that Guinn had gotten a call from someone and he agreed to go help the caller with something and left, leaving a drunk and suicidal girl alone and unattended for approximately two hours before her mother arrived.

#13 - “After Hours.”
It was reported to my friend by an employee of the Gulf gas station across the street from the hospital that Trace Hendricks had made her to open the liquor side of their business after hours for his personal use. The gas station has since changed ownership and My friend and I both approached the new owners who said that Trace had attempted to do the same with them but they refused. It has also been reported to me that Trace regularly drinks on the job and goes out to the Horny Toad bar regularly on Thursdays and then drives back to town drunk although I have not myself witnessed or confirmed such actions. I have also received other reports from individuals who have been in his company while he was extremely intoxicated then claim to have witnessed him get into his vehicle and leave. (Update: I was just told about the incident at the gas station by another party with whom I had not spoken to previously about any of this. They also added that the Chief was reportedly already under the influence when he drove to the gas station.)

#12 - “False Arrest”
I am not extremely familiar with the specifics of this case as the attorney involved obviously couldn’t share any privileged information. The Attorny has a practice near Waco. As I understand the girl who’s family hired the attorney, was pulled over and arrested for something to do with meth and operating her vehicle when that information was completely false. The girl’s mother told me that lawyer may have enough physical evidence to bring felony charges against Trace Hendricks, Officer Kyle Williams, and the Bosque County Narcotics Officer.

#11 - “The Warrant’s On The Way”
Recently, in May of this year the Clifton PD in conjunction with Bosque County Sheriff’s department and others to include Game Wardens, violated the rights of a woman here in town named Candice. Candice had a long time friend out of Colorado who had come to visit her. I’m not sure of the exact content of the threat he made but he reportedly made a threat to an employee at a Social Security Office which prompted the Department of Homeland Security to issue a warrant for the man’s arrest, who’s name is Robert Barron. Robert had left Candice’s house in his vehicle and made it just down the road before being pulled over and arrested. After detaining Robert, the police then closed on Candice’s home and surrounded it with weapons at the ready. Clifton Police Chief, Trace Hendricks, demanded entry into the home. Candice asked if there was a search warrant and she was told that there was although when she asked to see the search warrant she was then told that it was on the way. Candice then called her father who is a retired State Trooper and formerly twice-elected Bosque County Sheriff and asked if he would come get her son out of the house. Her dad came to the house where the officers still had weapons at the ready even given a lack of a warrant or active crime scene. Candice sent her son out to her father with a backpack of clothing and personal items. Trace was reportedly saying continuously that there was a warrant on the way and one of the officers stopped her father and the boy and demanded that his bag be searched which they eventually did. After being denied entry into the home without a warrant, Trace called CPS from the location and filed a completely false and malicious report in an attempt to weaponize CPS in order to gain entry into the home, which according to Texas Family Code Section 261.107, is a State Jail felony violation. I have also received information that there was potentially a false report of a bomb threat made. The police remained outside of Candice’s home for over three hours. Sgt. Casey Wilks of the Bosque County Sheriff’s Department reportedly later confirmed that a probable cause affidavit was never filed to obtain a search warrant for Candice’s home. (This has also been confirmed to me by other law enforcement personnel.) Candice has hired an attorney to represent her in this matter. Furthermore, there is now a protective order in place on behalf of Candice against CPS and a judge has denied an Aid To Investigate.

#10 - “ The Sexual Abuse Coverup”
This case began approximately seven years ago and continues today. Unfortunately, Bailey Arrington was assualted and neglected on multiple occasions. She made several outcries in regard to the abuse as well as confided the details thereof with a child psychologist on multiple occasions where she claimed that her father had sexually molested her. Bailey was assessed three times by doctors and while the first two times provided inconclusive evidence, the third was ruled as abuse, all three occurring after returning from her visitation with her father. At this point, a warrant should have been issued, according to law enforcement officials recently contacted. Officer King of the Clifton Police Department accepted the findings yet reportedly walked out and said nothing before handing the investigation off to Officer Darren Glenn, also of CPD. The McLennan County Officer who was also present at the hospital reportedly said that he couldn’t believe that Officer King just walked out with the report and said nothing. For the next few years, the family sought justice for Bailey’s case yet nothing was ever done. Bailey’s father, again the accused, was awarded joint custody and the primary custodial parent by Judge, Phil Robertson. Judge Robertson concluded, “I find it unlikely that Bailey Belle Arrington (Bailey) was sexually abused by her father, Michael Todd Moore.” He also went on to say that Mandi had made several false reports of allegations of sexual abuse against Micheal. Again, I’m not a law enforcement professional or a lawyer, but I do wonder why then there is a mass of reports from a renowned child psychologist and a doctor’s report which states that the abuse was apparent. During that hearing the judge reportedly went as far as to kick the child psychologist off of the stand and refused to hear other pertinent evidence. The family then created a Facebook page they called “Justice For Bailey.” Bailey’s mother, Mandi Arrington, was subsequently arrested after having a warrant issued for her for harassment although no derogatory contact with the other party had occurred. Mandi’s court appointed attorney reportedly never offered one objection throughout the entirety of the trial and sat quietly drawing a stick figures on the bottom corner of his yellow legal pad that gave the illusion of bouncing a basketball when the pages were flipped at the corner in a rapid motion. The prosecution reportedly claimed to possess evidence but never submitted any of it to the court for review by the jury. Mandi was subsequently convicted and placed on two years of probation. Fast forward a little more and Mandi, who had been ordered to pay child support, broke her foot and was unable to work. She got $1,300 behind on support and was filed on with a private attorney by Baliey’s father. She failed to make the court appearance although at that time was paid in full plus two months advance. Judge Robertson fined her $1,000 for her failure to appear at the hearing. Now, Mandi is facing criminal charges as well as a family court hearing in August where Bailey’s father is attempting to move off with the child as well as enact a protective order against Mandi. The Clifton Police Department via Police Chief, Trace Hendricks has again been asked to reopen this case and the department has again done nothing. It has become known that the CPD officers involved disposed of evidence to include the doctor’s report verifying the abuse. Recently, when Bailey’s grandmother went to the department, Trace attempted to get her to turn over the evidence she had collected. She rufused and inquired as to why the evidence had been removed from their file and said that he needed to open his own investigation as to who had tampered with the evidence as well as contact the advocacy center to obtain the reports. Trace reportedly became very upset at this point and began yelling at the grandmother to get out of his office. The evidence maintained by the family has been presented to an attorney who claims that such evidence will absolutely be able to reverse all decisions as well as subsequent charges thereafter. Unfortunately that attorney also wanted $25,000 to do it. To make this case even better, it was reported to me that officer, Darren Glenn was involved in an affair with the now wife of the accused, Sarah Moore, who works as a dispatcher for the Bosque County Sheriff’s Department. Then Glenn’s wife found out about the affair and he was kicked out of his home and living with Trace and still carrying on the affair during that time. The Grandmother also confronted Trace about this in their meeting and Trace reportedly agreed that it had occurred. There’s many more details of this case that I could get in to but I won’t do it without the family sitting right here to ensure that I am being factually accurate with what I am recounting.

#9-2 “Why I Didn’t Contact The Mayor/Council”
The Mayor and the City Council have an obligation to their town, to this town, and the citizens residing here; they have failed at that obligation in my opinion. To investigate and to not find adequate cause to pursue is one thing but to not even review the evidence is another thing entirely. Personally, if I was a mayor and saw a video like the one I posted I would want to get that individual into my office as soon as possible to review any evidence and either confirm or debunk the claims. If I was the Mayor I had a letter sent to the city like I sent I would have been burning rubber to go speak with that individual. The Mayor and Council have the power to remove city police from their positions. According to Clifton City Ordinance section 2-96 the Mayor is subject to the duties and responsibilities as described by V.T.C.A., Local Government Code 22.042, 341.011. Section 22.042 under the Powers and Duties of a Mayor it states that “the mayor shall at all times actively ensure that the laws and ordinances of the municipality are properly carried out.” It continues to say that “the mayor shall inspect the conduct of each subordinate municipal officer and shall cause any negligence, carelessness, or other violation to be prosecuted and punished.” Furthermore, the government code reads, “The mayor shall give to the governing body any information and shall recommend to the governing body any measure, that relates to improving the finances, police, health, security, cleanliness, comfort, ornament, or good government of the municipality.” Lastly, Clifton City Code Section 46-49 states, “The Cheif of Police shall report to the mayor, who shall Be responsible for the direction and supervision of the chief of police.” Given these laws and ordinances, it is rather apparent to me that the Mayor has a legal obligation to research any claims of wrongdoing by city employees as well as an obligation to report such to the council for review or possible action. Hell, if I were the Mayor I would have reviewed the evidence and called the Texas Rangers myself. I don’t know the mayor personally so I cannot attest to the caliber of his character. In fact, I have heard good things about the man which at least surprises me in this case. I get it, I pissed everyone off with the video, but you’ll have to forgive me if I hold citizens’ rights to a greater level of importance than personal emotions. Maybe it’s just a Marine thing? I don’t know. When I see something wrong I fix it or at least try.
