Just some of my thoughts

I sincerely believe, and am convinced, unfortunately, even by my personal experience - people do not change. Never. Dot.

We can acquire some qualities (good or bad), habits (healthy and unhealthy), skills, etc. Can pretend (for a while or for a long time). But do not change. I don't believe in fairy tales about this in real and I don't like it even in movies/show/books

And that's one of the reasons I'm obsessed with "LBFAD".

The main characters grow, learn, and develop - but they do NOT change.

DFQC has ALWAYS been and remains himself. XLH didn’t instill kindness, mercy, gentleness, or affection in him. He was born with those qualities. He NEVER offended her, humiliated her, or asserted himself at her expense.. XLH`s touch on, for example, an orchid would not turn that flower into a peony. If DFQC had been cruel or rude, no amount of effort or divine power from the Goddess could have made him softer or kinder. (If the creators had gone that route in the show, I’m not sure I would’ve watched past the halfway point) Their love story is more than just unique!

I don't like (Or even hate, especially when I think about what will happen next after this "Happy End". It scares me) "Beast and Belle", "Hades and Persephone", ect. I try to avoid reading/watching such things. (at the very least, a lack of basic respect)

For me, “I will change”, “she/he will change” is one of the main manipulations of abuse in relationships. And this, unfortunately, is such an effective thing. People continue to diminish themselves, hoping, suffering, waiting, and believing that someday someone will change - or that someone can change someone else

I just want more fairy tales and love stories that emphasize and build their plots around truly good, healthy things: respect, sincerity, trust, and so on.

Love Between Fairy and Devil reminded me of MY definition of dark romance. For me, it’s those Hades and Persephone love stories, the Rochester and Jane Eyre love stories, the semi-tragic love sort of romances.

A person who can’t, who doesn’t believe that they are deserving of love in the world, and a partner who is so wholeheartedly good and pure and in the same way partner a would still do anything for partner b, partner b is determined to help them see the light.

I’m twenty freaking four. Howl and Sophie (from the film), Beast and Belle, Rochester and Jane, Mi-Jeong and Gu, DFQC and Orchid - to name a few who have touched my heart.

I think, deep down in a sad way, a love where you help the other open up and it’s revealed that this person is good and true for the person them love and would do anything for the other, it’s what I want deep down. These romances do not work in real life, hence why I cherish them in fantasy.

i will never get over them and the fact that they mutually sacrificed themselves for each other 😭😭 that’s how much overwhelming, immense love flows between them—it’s inexplainable through words, therefore actions such as these are the closest to demonstrate their adoration. nothing will ever compare to this or their story. they loved each other so incredibly much that they would prefer death than seeing the other in pain. THEY ARE ART. THIS IS ART. they are so poetic, so passionate, so breathtaking. the most gorgeous love story to ever ever exist :( they’re so unbelievably special to me and they always will be.
