Wouldn't it be kinda funny to see a fanfiction parallel where Cody is the feral one and Obi-Wan, who has been training people for years and knows what responsibility looks like, is completely aghast at some of Cody's behavior.
After battle Obi-Wan turns around, completely horrified because this newly promoted-non force sensitive-commander just JUMPED on General Grevious and came away unscathed.
Or forces Cody to go to the medic after kicking a droid-no Cody he doesn't care if you have weight enforced boots, it's still a safety concern.
The further into the war they get the more convinced Obi-Wan is that his partner has some kind of force-sensitivity because how do you survive this long doing all the stupid shit Cody has done without it. But after while Obi-Wan just finds it devastatingly attractive
Meanwhile Cody is just relaying his dumb stories to his batch while the other's try to one up him with their own stunts. And the Jedi have to deal with the fact that the clone's were not trained to have any sense of safety and personal responsibility.

If you are unable to afford donating, this link allows you to click a button every 24 hours in order help donate to Palestine.
American mutuals, I seriously urge you to tell Congress and Biden to stand with Palestine, and do not stop sending this message. You can also donate here.
This is not a war; what Israel is doing to Palestine is genocide. Do not sit idly by and do not stay quiet. Now more than ever is the most important time to not look away.

physical touch is vital to brain development but clones and jedi don't have parents to hold them. so they hold each other. growing up with this communal affection makes them very tactile as adults. in this essay i will explain the history and cultural significance of cuddle piles in the GAR-

Clone and Unknowingly Cuddling
I’ve seen a lot of back and forth in whether clone troopers would be big on physical touch or not.
I think that it would make a little more sense especially from canon that the clones would be a little bit less into physical touch just based on their upbringing… HOWEVER
How funny would it be that no matter wear they fell asleep, who they were nearest to, anything, while they are asleep they will somehow find a way to cuddle right up to the nearest person.
They could be in the opposite side of a cave from someone on their own sleeping pad and everything and still somehow find a way to end up right on top of that other person.
Obi-Wan was very confused the first time he and Cody shared a tent in a campaign and he woke up to find Cody gone from his own cot on one side of the tent and in his cot.
Rex was horrified when he woke up on night while in a mission spooning his general. Anakin was a little surprised but didn’t say anything about it.
Even someone as standoffish and scary as Fox, has woken up after falling asleep on Senator Chuchi’s couch after going 4 days without sleep, completely glommed into the Pantoran.
Echo thought for sure he was going to be decommissioned when he woke up wrapped around his little commander, but Ahsoka assured him that she really didn’t mind and slept quite well.
Bly almost had a heart attack the first time he’d done it to Aalya. He’d even positioned himself closer to one of his captains that night so it wouldn’t happen. He’d quickly realized that the person spooning him from behind was his captain.
This habit of unconsciously ending up cuddling other people happens to make clone cuddle piles deadly for anybody to close to get dragged in. You will end up with three different people glommed onto you.
Oh did I mention that they also don’t let go until they wake up?

Cody: I never understood why people cared so much about their dumb little brothers until I got a dumb little brother myself. I've only had Rex for a day and a half but if anything happened to him I would kill everyone in this room and then myself

i think the reason that i find the tragedy of the prequels so compelling is that anakin is such a good tragic hero. he's shown to be an intelligent man with a mature understanding of the world, who made catastrophic choices on purpose because they were easier and more personally satisfying to him. when fans deny him that agency, i believe they misunderstand the story in important ways. one can say that he was manipulated and deceived, one can diagnose him with every mental illness in the DSM (and people in my notes often do), but one cannot say that he wasn't fast to toss aside his moral values to lash out and to get what he wanted.
the fact of the narrative is that anakin knew better, and he chose the easy option (with full knowledge that it was 'wrong'), because he refused to accept core limitations of reality, namely the inevitability of death. he thought that having special powers meant the rules didn't apply to him and those he loved, and that's how he ended up killing kids and serving as a fascist enforcer for decades. one can contort themselves into knots to try to excuse that, and there were indeed many contextual forces that gave him so much power in the first place, but there is no real excuse for what he chose to do with that power.
without anakin being that kind of moral agent, there is no tragedy. tragedy in an aristotelean sense is a narrative designed to elicit feelings of pity and fear, because we the audience know that we too are doomed to suffer and all too readily make easy, bad choices to avoid pain. none of us want to accept that some parts of life include losing, and require sacrifice. anakin's greed was his undoing, as it is all to often our own. refusing to accept that the tragedy of the prequels, explaining away and excusing the fall of the hero, means protecting ourselves from accepting the painful truth that we are just like him, and can and do make the same kind of mistakes.

The Prime Override - Chapter 59 is up!
Jango - The Afterlife
I'm back! It's been...2 months since my last update, which is the longest break I've taken from this fic ;_;
STILL, eventual update is better than nothing! I hope! It's a decently long chapter, I hope it satisfies!
In many ways, it’s deeply fitting. The discarded clones, living off of the discarded scraps of the GAR. And the individual who had encouraged Jango to find a life outside of hunting…taking in the souls who had been left discarded by his actions. “Welcome to the Afterlife, a way station for the dead,” Trapper drawls, flopping his hand towards the incredible structure, even as he eyes Jango warily, gauging his reaction.

the timeless child shit was obviously bad in execution but conceptually giving the doctor an undefined number of extra secret lives they've forgotten is a great idea for the longevity of not only the show itself but opens the door to all sorts of spinoff media and the exact time of Cinematic Universe shit that RTD has said he wants to do. unfortunately, and i cannot stress this enough, it was bad

my official stance is a pregnancy is whatever the pregnant person wants it to be. if it’s a 4 week old clump of cells and they want to call it a baby it’s a baby. if they're 20 weeks and they want to call it a parasite it’s a parasite. if they're 39 weeks and call it a fetus it’s a fetus. “why are you so sad about miscarrying at 6 weeks it was literally just an embryo” because that was their baby. “how can you get an abortion at three months” because that wasn’t a baby. hope that helps.
#My friend is currently pregnant rn and is unsure of wether thwy can keep it due to some health concerns#They know that regardless of if they make the decision to keep or abort it is up to them#And wether that is at 12 weeks or 24 or hell if they have a medically necessary late term abortion what ever they call it I will to#Rn it's a thing growing but that could change
