Now I haven't watched the season but how tf did Justin die from AIDS? HIV can be managed. And as far as I'm aware it takes a awhile for HIV to progress to AIDS. There are also ways to manage it, and MANY people live long lives even with it. So was there like... a couple of years time jump or???

This show is giving me whiplash. I'm not sure what message they're trying to put out here.

I just...I want to have faith and like this season. But I don't think I do. I don't like the message here...

THANK YOU. I feel like this line really put this season into perspective. It doesn't excuse a lot of the downsides, but I think the idea that the show is trying to make us "feel bad" for Bryce is wrong. They're showing how even the worst people can seem good, or perhaps even /can/ do good things. But he did horrible things, and we shouldn't forget that, and that doesn't mean he should get away from any sort of punishment. Ultimately, he's still selfish-- like when he tried to apologize to Jessica. He was doing it for himself, to make himself feel better. Otherwise he wouldn't have gotten angry.

Please show, don't prove me wrong. Please don't try to redeem him.
