⁺ 𝐌    ›   it was christmas and perhaps mone had gone a little overboard with the drinks. far from home and without the proper cashflow to fly back to vancouver, she had begun to feel lonely.  (  broken hearts do that to a person )   and as one does when the loneliness sets in, the drinks pile up. one had become two   –   three, and more and more until she was stumbling out the doors on the arms of one of her friends, waving her phone in her hand as she exclaimed cries of ‘ merry christmas to all and to all a goodnight ! ’ –  there’s a strong vibration that emits from her phone and she looks up to see the car on the screen roll up beside them.  what timing   –   “  oh, i think my rideshare is here!  ”  giddy laughter falls from her lips as she slips off the arm of her friend, waving them back   –  a flying kiss ( or two ) thrown their way before she barrels into the car with a huff and smile.  as the door closes behind her, she hears the tell-tale ring of the love alarm app and groans, the weight of fatigue pulling her into her seat as she looks to the passenger beside her.   “  was that me or you ?  ”  a part of her itches to look ; another part was too drunk to fish her phone out of her handbag. 

𝖇𝖑𝖚𝖊'𝖘     head leaned against the cool glass of the car window as he allowed his heavily lidded eyes to slip close. he had spent his christmas with his dad & that side of the family. no complaints, but being someone that cherished his solidarity even on holidays, he was thankful for the chance to have some quiet. even if that quiet was threatened by the fact that he had accidentally gone with the ride share option. what a dummy. the sound of his soon to be backseat companion saying her goodbyes was enough to cause the man to lift his head up & give a glance through the tinted glass to see just who was joining him. 

her presence into the car felt like a mild whirlwind & blue straightened his posture, turning his attention down to his phone. he might as well answer long ignored emails while he was here. though, silver ring clad fingers halted their motions when the alert went off. for someone who was as well-versed in the app as he was, he found it to be a pain in the ass half the time. using his thumb to hold down on the the symbol in the middle of the screen to turn off the app, he didn’t look over at the woman just yet. instead answering her while his attention was still focused on his dimly lit screen. 

“ it was me. ” say something else, because that was too short & rude. “ sometimes i forget i have the stupid thing on. ”

“     do you really have to see?     ”    there’s a pout on woon’s face, but inwardly, he can feel the anxiety creeping up his arms in the form of goosebumps.  he’s transported to another time and place, back to the days where he’d be dancing every day and singing until his voice would strain  -  it’s enough to cause him a quick heartbeat, though he’s trying not to show it.  he’s trying not to let on.  it’s easy to pout, easy to fake but it’s not so easy to quell the memories that are dredged up whenever someone brings up his trainee days.    “   it’s not like i was a great dancer.  i was supposed to be a main vocal … and why do you think i follow current kpop choreography anyway …     ”

𝖙𝖍𝖊𝖗𝖊   was a pause as blue listened to the other speak, dark hues watching his companion intensely before turning back to the happy hour menu he had been perusing. the comment had been offhand & meant as a joke, but the siwoon’s reaction made it clear that this particular topic was not yet anything to poke fun at. while blue was known for his own personal series of fuck ups when it came to conversation, he genuinely had no interest in making someone else uncomfortable. his own career path was one that was often glamourised, but had deadly consequences. he had no doubt that the path of wanting to be an idol was no different. thus, he simply shrugged to show his lack of interest in the topic anymore.

“ i was kidding, really. that’s like someone asking me to just up & catwalk for them. i’m not doing it & i don’t expect you to break out in a full four minute choreography. now, did you want a drink? ”

moved into a studio loft apartment downtown in the heart of toronto & is often seen out in the nightlife

due to his connections in the industry & love of fashion, he began working as a stylist on the side when he’s not doing shoots of his own. it’s something he enjoys & finds therapeutic, especially considering that it allows him to express his unconventional style using others
