At Cloudseat, safety is fundamental to everything we do. We always strive to improve our safety measures for the riders as well as the drivers to give them peace of mind. Therefore, from the very beginning, we have been very careful towards investing in our app features and policies to make our service safest for your long-distance rideshare journey.

We generally provide shared rides between San Diego and Los Angeles. The rider can book a single seat or more in our shuttle which provide stoppage at three Cloudseat points, i.e. Carlsbad, Mission Viejo, and Anaheim. If any rider books a single seat in the Ford Transit van, he would be given three options of the stopovers and can select their preferable drop-off point, and the fare would be adjusted on that basis. They can also book the whole Ford Transit 350 van or GMC Yukon SUV with capacity up to 14  riders from San Diego to the end-point of their selection on an hourly booking basis. Cloudseat is the only hourly booking service provider in San Diego that always takes an extra step to confirm our rider’s safety.

Now, let’s discuss the safety measures we follow at different levels to ensure safety for our passengers:

Driver Selection: All our drivers have licenses authenticated by the State of California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV). They are selected based on experience and skill. Moreover, we always demand a commercial driver’s license for our drivers that ensure their efficiency level and prominent driving skill. We even require before and after recruitment training for all our drivers to sharpen their driving skills. Therefore, be assured that all our drivers are well experienced and skillfully qualified to provide you with a smooth and comfortable long-distance rideshare journey.

Also, according to the State of California Department of Motor Vehicles, all our drivers are allowed to report for duty with a blood alcohol level of less than 0.01%. They are not allowed to carry alcohol while on duty. Additionally, we ensure that every driver takes 10 hours off duty to ensure passenger’s safety.

Vehicle Maintenance:                 All our vans and SUVs have the U. S. Department of Transport (USDOT) number to authorize its authenticity. Cloudseat offers brand new models of 2019 for every journey which includes Ford Transit 350 van with a maximum of 14 seats and GMC Yukon SUV with a maximum of 7 seats. Also, we make sure that there’s no incident of overcrowding the vehicle as the booking is done according to the seats available and our drivers are specially trained to load your luggage properly so that your belongings stay intact during the journey.

Our vehicles have cameras installed in them to capture the front street view as well as inside of the vehicles. All the vehicles are regularly inspected, maintained, and repaired if necessary for safety. The Shuttles are equipped with smart diagnose devices that are connected to our database to inform us if any of our vehicles need any timely attention. Also, safety equipment like fire extinguishers and first aid kits are installed inside and checked regularly if they are in proper working condition.

Safety Devices: We have a 24*7 dedicated back end team that tracks the speed of the vehicles on the road, driver’s duty hours, and route of the journey. In any case, if the van or SUV has to stop in an unusual place, our back-end team instantly contacts the driver to enquire and take necessary actions.

Moreover, each of our vehicles have security devices installed that can detect sudden breaks, sudden acceleration, unusual turns and warn the back-end-team about them. The vans and SUVs are also equipped with collision detectors. Your city to city long-distance rideshare journey is always under our expert surveillance so that you can have a stress-free and safe trip.

Specially Featured App: In Cloudseat, we generally book the vehicles through an app that is equipped with special features to ensure our rider’s safety. Upon booking a seat or the whole vehicle, the app generates one QR code as a unique identification of the rider. While boarding, the driver scans the QR code and if it matches then only the rider can board the vehicle. This ensures the identity of the vehicle and the rider.

Covid-19 Hygiene Maintained: In the recent global scenario of COVID-19, we have taken extra precautions towards maintaining the hygiene of your ride. All the vehicles are properly cleaned and sanitized completely before beginning any journey.

The drivers are also equipped with proper hygienic gears, such as masks and gloves, and have been instructed to maintain strict sanitization before and after every journey. All the drivers are regularly tested for any sign of infection, and we ensure that your safety and hygiene are also maintained throughout the journey. We have also installed hand sanitizers inside the vans and SUVs for the rider’s usage.
