I've seen so many posts about aai being like "look Edgeworth's bluffing he learned so much from Phoenix!!" But Phoenix learned everything from Mia and Mia learned everything from Godot so I love the implication of Godot's entire legacy being "lie, be dramatic, and commit to the bit" which is exactly what he does every single second he's onscreen.

I’m so convinced that The Great Ace Attorney is just a combination of the rest of the original plan for the Apollo Justice trilogy, Sherlock Holmes references, historical fiction, and some other original ideas in there to spice it up. Spoilers below of course

TGAA introduces the jurist system which is set up to be implemented into law in AJ but is then erased from existence in DD and SOJ.

Ryunosuke and Apollo are similar in the sense that they are both people who are trying to escape the shadow of someone they admire (Kazuma and Phoenix) and carve a new identity for themselves while discovering that those they admire are not what they seem.

Barok and Klavier have serial killer brothers with dogs… also like they’re also living in the shadows of their brothers and both try to make the effort to right the wrongs of their pasts and acknowledge the hurt that they’ve caused despite originally thinking that they had been doing right. They perpetuated the broken systems and let corruption fester because of their ignorance.

maybe I’m just pointing out similarities and I know that there are also similarities to the original trilogy but let me have this, please. I love AJ so much and though DD and SOJ are entertaining in their own ways but i still wish we could’ve seen the original vision
