For reference, I'm not going to touch season 5. However, I will post spoilers and screenshots to keep updating this blog. Additionally, I've seen the show bible. Its the worst show 'bible' I've ever seen. Do not click on the link above unless you want to be spoiled for season 5.

Other than that, this show gives me extreme burnout. It hasn't been that long since the season 4 finale, so this seems very rushed. Anyway, I can't wait to see the salt from this season. Have fun!

19 Miraculi are way too fucking many, let's cut some down

One of the many ways to solve ML's issue of having way too many miraculi could've been fixed if they actually comitted to the Miracle Box being of chinese origin and it only containing the 12 chinese zodiac miraculi. The Goat and the Tiger basically have the same powers as the Ladybug and the Cat anyway so it would work with some tweaking (also with changing up the powers of basically every zodiac miraculi because they're either way too broken or just underwhelming).

In a summary of the audios, they are trying to find out who Monarch will give the Miraculous to turn them into villains, Ladybug thinks it could be Lila and the others think it could be Chloe...

And we can see that Gabriel is wearing almost all the Miraculous at the same time!

Is it a bad time to suggest that we all just stop supporting Zag by no longer watching the show—the show is poorly written enough, but I draw the line at not properly paying voice actors and animators. Also, this blog is BOTH anti-zag and That Guy. Normalize disliking both. I don’t care for the “true villain” or pointing fingers when both are awful.

Due to the serious underpayment the voice actors of Miraculous Ladybug are getting (despite the high popularity of the show), Joe Ochman, the English VA of Mayor Bourgeois has left the show and will be replaced in Season 5. On top of that, the reason SAMG will be no longer animating Miraculous episodes also has to due with being underfunded. SAMG is known in the fandom for animated some of the best episodes in terms of animation like Crocoduel and Strike Back. Mind you, if they can afford to make The Awakening Movie with a budget over 100 million dollars, then they can afford to give their employees a fair pay. Please check out and sign this petition made by Sydney Satalino to protest against this. Also make sure to share this on as many social media accounts as you can with the hashtag #ZagPayUp. Let's be the heroes that Miraculous Ladybug inspired us to become.

You're 100% correct. That's exactly my point. The writers made it seem like the stakes were higher than they actually were. Gabriel gave the peacock away, a miraculous that is the echo fighter to the butterfly, which cuts his power in half. He has mostly two options: make an evil army of miraculous users (but why/how would he) or try to topple Paris himself. Right now, he's sitting on an empty threat.

I’m pretty sure we are once again being bamboozled. Higher stakes doesn't equal change. At the end of the day, we have to think about where the characters left off: Adrien still knows nothing about Gabriel’s basement and didn’t put two and two together that Hawkmoth’s big ass head in the sky looks a lot like Gabriel’s big ass head—maybe this will change in season 5. Marinette still hasn’t confessed to Adrien, meaning their relationship hasn’t moved. It is still the same. We all still have the identity drama going on. Alya was exposed for having a miraculous that she shouldn’t have had back in the first place. They just decided to give Gabriel another buff.

Thanks for the correction! I edited my original tags to reflect this addition. Also, that is a VERY good point. We never saw Adrien stand up to his father... I guess Adrien's risk was trusting Felix even though he could've handled it by himself. This is the problem with using side characters to advance the plot. All of the stuff Felix did could've been figured out by Ladybug and Cat Noir if the show didn't give them selective intelligence.

Disney Channel USA has announced in their TV guide that they will premiere episode #26, the final episode of Season 4, on Saturday March 12nd!

Until now, that is the only confirmed date that we have for the finale, we have to wait if another channel premieres it first...

ml was always going to invalidate adrien's abuse. idk how people can watch this show w all it's racism and misogyny and then expect it to treat adrien's abuse seriously and with sensitivity. i mean I'm still reserving judgement for when strike back comes out and we get a better understanding of what's happening in this finale (maybe adrien isn't a senti after all and it's a fakeout... I'm coping). but if adrien's abuse is what you're here to see a good conclusion on I'd walk away
