Not So Berry Legacy Challenge
Do you like the rainbow? Do you like the idea of playing with berry Sims but hate berry Sims? Do you want to mess around with aspects of the game you’ve never used before? Boy, do I have the challenge for you!
Welcome to the Not So Berry Legacy Challenge, a ten generation legacy with a focus on bright colors and new experiences.
Basic Rules:
Each heir must represent the color of the generation (i.e. hair, makeup, clothing), but brightly colored skin is not necessary (these aren’t actually berry Sims, that’s the joke). Of course, this is optional but a big portion of the fun.
The colors of the spouses don’t matter as they aren’t part of the challenge. Unless otherwise stated you can do whatever you please with them.
Money cheats can be used, but not excessively. Suggestion: use freerealestate for your first home, but no cheats afterward.
You may live wherever you please unless something is specified in the rules of a generation.
Every generation is supposed to complete both the career and aspiration of the heir unless explicitly stated otherwise.
Keep the lifespan on normal.
If you play this challenge and want to share it with us, go ahead and post with #notsoberry so we can see!
My good friend @alwaysimming and I kind of created this challenge on accident, but I think it turned out pretty great. We wanted to make something that forced us to play with parts of the game we’ve never explored before. Hopefully you’ll have fun too. You can follow our gameplay on @mintiphresh and @lea-fey (pronounced “minty fresh” and “leafy”)!

the alter ego effect ✼。゚・
so i've read this book called the alter ego effect by todd herman, and thought it could be a fun way to improve self concept and consequentially manifest really easily. i've been using this for a while and it works really well for me.
we all unconsciously embody different personas depending on the situation and the people we are around, so why not use it on purpose?
the alter ego is simply your perfect desired self, the version of yourself that embodies your good self concept that's within you.
here's what i did:
first of all, i made a list of words and concepts that reminded me of my perfect self. remember that self concept is not only about looks or self esteem. it's also that, but it's also your beliefs, how you view the world and so on. i also made a pinterest board out of fun (and i still update it sometimes!). you don't have to do all this, you can just imagine it.
here's a little prompt list that might help you:
- what do you look like? - what kind of person are you? your beliefs? your likes? dislikes? - what do you value? what/who do you admire? your dreams?
remember that you don't have to be super detailed and stress over it. your subconscious knows, whether you can write it down in detail or not.
now that you've done that, you can find a little token, aka an object, or a word, or even a concept that reminds you of your alter ego. it can be for example a necklace you own, or any object. it can be an idea. it can be multiple things.
for me for example, i have a necklace i own, a color, and a drink.**
basically what happens is that every time you see the object, or hear the word, or anything, you'll be automatically, unconsciously reminded of your alter ego, aka your perfect self. that's basically affirming without even thinking about it. you'll start unconsciously embodying your perfect self without even noticing.
** for me, one of my tokens is something uncommon for me to see or talk about. it happens sometimes, and i think that reinforces even more the connection to my perfect self. this is just an advice from what works for me!!
what about tough days? everyone has bad days and that's okay. you can conosciously think about your alter ego. if something comes up suddenly, you can ask yourself, "what would my perfect self do?" and do exactly that. that's persisting with your new story.
sometimes you just have a bad day though and that's okay. if you react to the 3d or act in a way only your old story self would do, that's okay. don't punish yourself over it. you can be upset, have a moment of doubt, and then tell yourself that what you desire is meant for you so there's nothing to worry about. it's already yours.
but how does this help with manifesting?
remember that a good self concept is all that's needed to manifest. that version of yourself already has all your desires. once you embody and believe you already are your perfect self, then you already have all your desires. you don't even have to consciously voice them out. you can still use other methods like affirming or visualizing, but you don't have to (i still do, cause they simply put me in a good mood!!)
now here's a few success stories i got through this:
a big change of personality
went from brown hair to blonde hair
a motorbike
being good at maths
never gaining weight
never being bothered by the 3d
my bedroom having a specific smell on its own
happy manifesting ✧
