To be entirely honest, this year was the first where I really dove back into cosplay. I'll readily admit that I stopped entirely because of COVID hit after what was originally supposed to be a 1 year break, and just hadn't been able to pull myself back in yet. So coming back in after so long I've been doing some re-education on things and... I'm not going to lie I am shocked by how many things I was taught or learned wrongly back when I first started.

Now mind a lot of this is because I mostly do this on my own, and with my neurospice I find it really nerve wracking to full on join a community or groups of people. Maybe if I were a little better with social media interactions and just socializing in general I wouldn't have had some of these things corrected sooner, but that's not really the point.

Because, holy shit I know these things I'm learning now weren't what was being told back when I first started way back when and it's no wonder I was so uncomfortable wearing some of my costumes! I'm really glad that the better information is out in the world now but my mind is completely blown by how much I honestly have to relearn. I'm not starting entirely from scratch, but man is it close...

I haven't posted anything here since 2017 b/c I am terrible at social media lmao. So we're gonna do a whole ass blog update because I'm attempting to socialize with cospayers and fandoms again... let's see how it goes.

Masquerade mask for glasses wearers

Cheap but effective if you don’t own contacts. I made small hooks that should fall on your glasses if you measure it right. Since it lands on your glasses it shouldn’t scratch you. This only works with really light masks though

I starting to reach an “at my wits end” moment here so hopefully someone who sees this can help.

A little over a year ago I bought a cosmonde wig for Tokiya Ichinose of utapri, and it’s a beautiful wig with out a doubt but I’m in over my head with styling it.

I’ve tried several times on my own, the first attempt falling just short of a disaster, and while the most recent try was better I still can’t seem to make it do what I want it to. I’ve also tried for the past year or so to find a tutorial or instructions on how to get his hair style done only to come up with nothing.

I’m a beginner of beginners here so I might just be not looking in the right places, or a tutorial could simply not exist yet… If there’s anyone who can help by getting me in the right direction I’d be really grateful.

Uta no Prince-sama at ACen 2015

I probably posted these pictures already on my personal, but a friend and I were talking about past shoots I’ve done and i decided why the heck not put these here again. This was my first ever Utapri photoshoot at a con and it was so much fun. Definitely one of my favorite memories ever at anime central, especially since the others ended up standing on a milk crate to be taller than me that year!

Princess Summer 2017 ( left ) & 2016 ( right )

This particular costume is something that is an ongoing project of mine. It’s inspired by the 2013 Prince Summer Campaign. Anime Central 2017 marked my third, and in my opinion, best attempt at an outfit so far. ( sadly no pictures of my 2015 attempt exist ) 

Though I have yet to be entirely happy with what I have so far so I will continue to make edits and adjustments until I feel I finally get it right enough to do a real photo shoot with it.

Wow I rather fell off the face of the planet here for awhile and I never finished uploading acen pictures whoops. I’ll work on getting the rest of those up really. I also still have to do a nice photoshoot for my Legend Star and Prince Summer costumes to get those pictures... fuuu so much stuff.

In other new I’ve been looking and thinking about a different convention to go to next year and right now Anime Expo looks really good? Mostly because I keep finding more and more people I know that go there... SO I’m going to set my sights on that. I’ve got 1 year to save and plan!
