Has anyone done this joke regarding N'bel and Vulkan's dance around the subject before? As someone adopted by different ethnicity parents, reading those parts of Promethean Sun was quite amusing😅
#crying over this ngl#If you asked Vulkan who his dad is he'd still answer N'bel first. Because that's his dad. The Emperor can be his creator all he wants#but if someone asks 'who is your father' Vulkan's answer is going to be N'bel. Because that's who made him who he is.

SG! DPax doodle (this is my own imagining of them)
Don’t really like SG! OP’s usual colors so I tried to do smthing different (the purple was a must… idk if it’s ass but oh well)
My conception of TFO! SG! Is that OP presents a mask of a pathetic coward so pathetic that it’s not ever worth it to bully him, but he has a HUGE vindictive/sadistic streak. He is very much the child not embraced by the village will burn it down to feel its warmth. Then there’s D, who through sheer aura + strong as shit, intimidates the fuck outta everyone else. At one point he stood up for OP, & this leads to OP kinda latching onto D as his most important person, & D deciding he must protect OP from everyone else as much as everyone else from OP, b/c OP is 2 minor inconveniences from snapping and murdering everyone. However, unknown to D, OP is already planning on taking over Cybertron by finding the Matrix and becoming Prime. Sentinel has sentanced all of Cybertron to a slow death (b/c unknown to most, Primus seeks the dominion over and the eventual destruction of the universe)
#D-16 knowing how dangerous OP can be and still deciding to protect him for the better of everyone involved...oooaaaggghh#and then the breakup happens and D is just like 'I fuckin knew it'#He has to become the version of himself that OP saw him as in order to lead during the war. And during the war OP realizes that D-16#was never the unbreakable person he made himself out to be and it's a mix of your hero not being who you thought they were and#a realization that you were more similar to an enemy than you thought.

Its just a background detail at the moment, but it’s interesting how the superpowers have undergone a quasi-evolutionary process, in that a new superpower can only emerge and remain around if they are more-or-less immune to the various powers of the existing superpowers, or have some other reason for the existing superpowers not to kill them.
Anyone without psychic shielding would be instantly neutered by Lux (see The Devil). Anyone one not physically resilient enough to survive a first strike from Heavy and whom Heavy dislikes enough to kill will likely be killed by Heavy. Etc
The Major only survived as long as he did because Magnus didn’t tell Heavy about how weak he was because letting America believe that it was still powerful was worth the concessions they were asking for until, suddenly, they no longer were.
Lux, Masumi, and possibly Magnus, are only alive, despite physical squishiness, because they have (in Masumi’s case, unintentionally) created dead-man’s switches.
And so by 1999 all you’re left with are Superpowers that have psychic shielding and which are either incredibly physically resilient or have truly terrifying dead-man’s switches
