“One of the most harmful things for a person is idleness and free time. The soul never stays empty—if you do not occupy it with what benefits it, it will occupy you with what harms you—inevitably.”

“There is no true life in this world except for the one content with little; for the more one desires the excesses of life, the more his worry increases, his heart scatters, and he becomes enslaved.”

There's a verse in the Qur'an that says: 'Your Lord has made mercy binding upon Himself.'
And when you truly think about that… it makes you pause.
A higher being completely free of need-chose to bind Himself to mercy, even for people like us. Not because we are flawless, but because He is truly the Most Merciful. It's a reminder that His mercy isn't earned by perfection, but opened by sincerity.

Abu Musa Al-Ash'ari (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:
The Prophet (ﷺ) said:
"Allah, the Exalted, will continue to stretch out His Hand in the night so that the sinners of the day may repent, and continue to stretch His Hand in the daytime so that the sinners of the night may repent, until the sun rises from the west."

Mu'ād ibn Jabal's رضى الله عنه advised his son:
"My son, if you offer salāh, pray it as a farewell prayer and don't anticipate that you'll [have an opportunity to] return to it. And realise my son, that a believer meets death between two good deeds; a deed he has offered and a deed he intended to do."
