I really don’t understand the idea of Pinkie Pie as a Witch of Space. She has the ideas of optimistic rebellion using creation, I suppose, but it feels like there are just so many more classpects that I think would make a bit more sense.

Personally I think that Pinkie is pretty aggressively Blood-coded, and in my opinion probably a Rogue. Blood is all about bonds, comittment, obligation and dependability. Pinkie as the element of Laughter is kind of the chain that binds together the other 5 elements and keeps them from getting too rowdy amongst themselves. As for her being a Rogue, I don’t think it's too controversial to say that Pinkie takes the ideas of friendship, camaraderie, etc. and not only redistributes them amongst those around her, but protects them from being used against the group. As a Rogue, Pinkie’s responsibility and forte is not only to share Blood, but protect it where it already exists within her group. 

I think Pinkie would not only be a Blood player, but a very healthy example of one! If the original submitter of this one sees my post please do share why your take on her as a Witch of Space is such, because I'd be very happy to see.

The Page Class

The Page begins their adventure with a perceived deficit in their aspect, which they attempt and generally fail to overcompsensate for with what they believe is an appropriate expression of that aspect. Despite this failure to harness their aspect in a beneficial way, they are able to harness it in a way that’s intrinsically linked with their own failure. Ironically, the only way they can consistently harness their aspect is to self-sabatoge.

For example, Tavros lacked Breath. He needed to learn how to be free and independent, but the way he tried to bring this to fruition was by playing games in which he was free, but brought him even further from his own goals. Tavros was reveling in Breath while spending all of his time on Prospit, but this didn’t actually help him develop as a person or benefit the session. It was a superficial victory. 

Pages inherently start off disconnected from the person who they are and the potential that they have, instead holding up a false self as what they /should/ be. 

A Page’s journey is to face their aspect head on without avoidance and recognize where it already exists inside of them. A Page doesn’t need to learn how to use their aspect, but to use it in a way that’s actually constructive. It is an uncomfortable journey for the Page, but necessary to gain proper familiarity and eventual mastery of their Aspect and themselves.  More than any other class, the Page’s quest mirrors the Hero’s Journey. The Hero is called upon, adventure leads to introspection, introspection leads to apotheosis, and their ultimate freedom. 

Some Pages may choose to refuse this call to adventure, choosing the comfortable false self that they feel safe with rather than risking their ego facing themselves. At times, another entity may push the Page into certain actions, but nobody can force a Page to accept their aspect except for themselves. Vriska’s attempts to make Tavros stronger only resulted in pain for him. Meulin’s well-intentioned attempts to help Horuss feel less angry and empty only made him put on a facade of happiness. The actions that Dirk took to push Jake ended up with Jake feeling further alienated. 

A Page’s journey to realization is generally:

Self-sabatoging use of their aspect → Issues in their life → The choice to stop avoiding their own aspect in its more useful forms → Uncomfortable affinity gained with the aspect → Mastery over the thing that once hurt them.

Aside from this, Pages are a strong class. The long journey will reward them with well-earned power.

A realized Page will command their aspect, utilizing it for the good of those around them. Because of the time and effort spent familiarizing themselves with their aspect, a Page is well equipped to understand the intricacies of it. It becomes sort of like another limb to them. An extension of the self which isn’t just a tool, but is not quite controlling them.

With a fully realized Page, any situation is like a puzzle, seeing where they can fit in their own expertise to help out.
