found this ekphrastic poem i did for my creative writing class on the kiss by gustav klimt:

hold me tight

enough my muscles melt away

into tight squares and blinding lines

engulf me

in the shapes we weave together

if the world were ice

even my lavender skin

naked in the air

would burn it all

every flower on our bed, ash

loosely draped

in your light

kiss me

all over

leave me

covered in you.

in my quest for such unadulterated acceptance i have forgotten my earnestness! it is in my back left pocket of those jeans i do not wear anymore. it is either my growing or my broken washer which has made them bulge around my waist and unable to button. i hunger, more, my fingers do, for earnestness and unadulterated feeling of the soul. under my to-do list in my planner, past the 400 tabs of canvas and the texts i have not yet respond to, lie a bigger task. cry more, and feel more, more love and more hurt, less glazing of eyes, and let the pain wash over you and let it move your fingers and for fucks sake write something earnestly!
