like i was talking with someone earlier but what got me with TR is that like.........they kept TOO MUCH stuff for the viewers, only. like all these connections and parallels were like. only for the viewers. like. nothing Within the actual narrative between the characters. they don't know about september 13th, or the matchbook (whatever That means anyways), her anniversary being the same date he signed divorce papers, etc. like. i can SEE why shippers shipped them bc. the writers Did give a lot of parallels but like,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, it was never addressed actually in universe between the actual characters, if that makes sense.

#like does this make sense??????#like i think if they had involved the parallels actually within the narrative and noticed by characters THEN maybe #but it all felt more for the viewing party than actually acknowledged WITHIN the story.#like narratively.#if they had bled those parallels actually into their arc rather than just. showing us then not having them talk for two episodes #idk #i've also had . bad experiences w some TR shippers so. idk if i'm the person to talk abt this

like I really can see that the shrooms weren’t a dud batch. beard is just an outlier and his response to drugs shouldn’t be counted
