with that said, can we please report this bully? @fucktoryantis @fucktoryantis @fucktoryantis
on their account click report and choose hate speech, just dm me if you need help to fill out the rest!! <3
and please reblog so this reaches as many people as possible!
thank you 🤍
#boosting! doubt staff will do anything. mf is EVERYWHERE#going to real stalker fan levels with multiple identities when peyton list would not endorse any of that bs in her name

Some of y’all are weird
So Ralph Macchio had a live last night to talk to fans and promote the upcoming movie and the comment section was not it. There were so many freaky comments asking him stuff like: “do you like minors?”, “I wanna lick you”, “what color is your underwear”, “let me peg you”.
Just overall childish and weird questions to be asking anyone let alone a 63 year old married man. It’s one thing to be on here and post fan arts and fanfics and it’s another to be in his comment section where he’s actively reading them.
I just feel so bad because he was genuinely excited to talk to people and he was getting overwhelmed and bombarded with these types of messages. I hope if he does decided to go live again he’ll have someone to moderate, but after the way this went I wouldn’t blame him if he didn’t.
Not to long ago Evan Dorkin, the artist for Eltingville Club, had to make a post about how he was uncomfortable with the dms he was getting and asking them to stop. So this is a problem that we need to address for all fandoms.
Please be Respectful to Actors and Creators!!!

Some parts of Cobra Kai genuinely feel like a bad fever dream, and I don't just mean the dog cage karate brawl yacht explosion parts, but just...what the hell do you mean they had Daniel rhapsodizing about how amazing and spiritual and transcendent it was to sell cars to rich jagoffs?

Do you think Cheyenne got endlessly bullied by her snobby intellectual friends for dating a man who ghosted her to play karate with his "war buddy" he told her he definitely never slept with, who then got arrested for attacking people with swords, and died straddling said "old friend" in a murder-suicide? Do you think she can ever show her face in Ohio again.

Why is the show trying to gaslight me and Daniel into thinking that Daniel and Johnny were equally wrong in The Karate Kid like all Daniel did was try to make new friends after moving across the country and then Johnny and his evil karate gang just kept trying to wreck Daniel's shit. Like, I'm sorry, but Daniel sprinkling water on Johnny after Johnny and Co. had already (1) beaten Daniel up for talking to Johnny's ex girlfriend and (2) knocked Daniel down a cliff doesn't mean that Johnny and Cobra Kai trying to beat Daniel to death was understandable. It wasn't a two-way thing, Johnny was clearly Daniel's bully.

I just saw a post saying Ali was abusive to Johnny and I’m like huh!!!! Like they called Ali physical and verbal abusive and said that she was passive aggressive and omg I could laugh I want you to see the post so bad It blew my mind 😭
And they said that Ali was being rude when all Johnny wanted to do was talk at the beach
Like are we forgetting that he forced kissed her
In other news the sky is green and the sea is made of pudding I guess.
However, there is canon proof that he is the aggressor soooo
His friends physically hold her back while he breaks her stuff and hits Daniel and then blames her for his actions.
Before this Ali confirms to Daniel that it's over, but even if we assume Johnny was somehow under the impression they were still an item, his behavior is text book red flag.
As you mention, he also disregards her agency when he kisses her (not because he likes her apparently, but to piss Daniel off. Sus.)
In the first season he tells Miguel to ignore Sam telling him no to a date. Of course Miguel just asks if they can go out as friends, rather than as dates, which Sam finds charming, rather than forcing something.
For real though, I have already seen a post that explains this wonderfully, and it's right here
(where the screenshots come from as well)
I have seen a lot of very concerning sentiments about the female characters in this fandom, and like, obviously, these people are outliers, but they're still a loud minority.
From @rosie-tyler (if you want me to take these down just let me know)

(I have no wish to censor the names of whoever has this rank take lmao, get wrecked pookie. )
Like. There's definitely a lot of fascinating things to say about this subject but my brain doesn't have the horsepower RN tbh.
#i saw that post and blocked but felt so weirded out wtf??#but yeah guess ck having ali say things were her fault too might have embolded some sorts to see her as some villain if not daniel#anyone who criticizes or gets in johnny's way= worst of worst apparently

I love how Tanner and Mary show up once in a while to remind people they don’t care about appealing to certain norms about gender or style. The TikTok CK fandom full homophobes are going to have meltdown, meanwhile, Tanner and Mary couldn’t care less and are in love.

It's frustrating that CK tried to lower Daniel and Mr. Miyagi's relationship in order to I dunno make Johnny being a shitty father less noticable? Instead of elevating Johnny and making him a worthy father to Robby and Miguel, they just "well Mr.Miyagi wasn't perfect" (which the MOVIES SHOW BTW), and "Daniel is wrong actually, he's hero worshipping this man and that's bad actually, we need to knock him down a peg or two".
Like I get that Johnny was suppose to be the main POV character, and they did start having him ya know, develop and grow as a character, he can trip up, progress isn't a linear straight up upward, but each season felt like he stops.
Should have ended in Season 5, fuck the Sekai Taikai that whole plot line was just unnecessary in the end. 15 episodes felt way too long but also not? Like Season 6 Part 1 felt like everything could have been distilled into a SINGLE episode or maybe two. It felt dragged out and full of unnecessary filler which then left so many character's arcs unfinished or out right ignored.

I just read an article about how Cobra Kai's 'strike first, strike hard, no mercy' credo parallels violence against BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ people and can be interpreted as a manifestation of white supremacy, reflecting systems of privilege and oppression. I also read another article about radicalization and the allure of violence (including the example of how resentful war veterans helped form paramilitary groups in the US, such as the KKK and supremacist militias *cough* Cobra Kai *cough*). It's so good to see other people talking about this. Karate Kid was one of my favorite movies from the '80s, and this series managed to destroy its entire legacy for me. Johnny is misogynistic, racist, xenophobic, and homophobic, but that's okay because he's charismatic. Coincidentally, all the villains are Asian, racism and misogyny only exist when it's convenient, child abuse is justifiable because it makes people stronger, and I won't even get into what they did to Mr. Miyagi or how they treated disability as something to be 'fixed.' This series is made for Trump-following incels who believe that 'woke culture' is destroying entertainment. A big part of me is excited for Karate Kid Legends because I'm rooting for it to be different, to have the elements of the original.
The original movie was about growth, redemption, and overcoming adversity, but now it feels like the message has been twisted into something that promotes toxic masculinity and harmful ideologies. I want to see a story that acknowledges the importance of empathy, inclusivity, and personal growth. The original Karate Kid was about finding balance and peace, not about asserting dominance and holding onto outdated notions of strength.
But honestly, I’m not holding my breath. It’s hard to shake the feeling that the people behind the franchise are more interested in catering to a certain demographic than creating something truly meaningful. At the end of the day, I want to believe that good storytelling can still prevail, even in a world where nostalgia is often used as a crutch to sell out creative potential

Anyway, this silly throwaway's run its course I think. I feel like I ran my course with other people to begin with, and found the pedestal-to-trash treatment too intimidating.

I don't like to give much space to trolls, though when it comes to the CK subreddit? Looks like people are still choosing violence over particular actors.
Here's one redditor being passive-aggressive and gross about how they now can't be "honest" about fat-shaming and calling Mary unhealthy. Cobros, everyone.
#ck negativity#seems the mods saying they'd ban the fatphobic remarks has ofc emboldened more people to raid sam threads with bashing mary's looks

I just think it would be very, very funny if in Karate Kid Legends, Daniel was married to Kumiko, and Johnny made a cameo and he’s a doctor who has his life together like Billy always wanted, and no one said anything.

Since Cobra Kai ended I find myself getting more and more excited for Karate Kid Legends.
I absolutely loved Cobra Kai in the beginning, especially the first 2 seasons.
Season 3 was still good but it’s where the cracks started to show, however, I was able to overlook them because it gave us a pretty phenomenal finale with a lot of promise for the future.
Seasons 4 and 5 did not live up to that promise AT ALL and were quite a chore to get through. It was all just a big mess that almost made me give up on the show. But there was just one more season left so it was just like, “I’ve gotten this far, might as well go all the way.”
Although I had problems with the last season, the pros outweighed the cons for me and I did thoroughly love the ending.
Having said all that, it always bothered me that they turned Daniel into a car dealership owner. That never seemed like something he would do really. It never seemed like something he would thrive in and be happy doing. Daniel always liked helping people and he was good at that. Selling fancy cars to rich assholes, that whole businessman deal just doesn’t fit him at all.
Which is why it was so uncomfortable to see him in those awful suits they always had him in, and why it was so refreshing when he was out of them and in more relaxed, laid back outfits. Ralph’s demeanor even changed. He just seemed more confident and sure of himself.
And it bothered be that he was often portrayed as a rich asshole himself. Over the past few years I’ve found myself having to defend him quite a lot and it seems to have become commonplace to hate him, which just speaks to how poorly he was being written.
They still could have had him be successful and financially prosperous but just doing something else. He could have even still been in the car business just, I don’t know, renovating old cars or something.
Doing anything that would require creating something new really and where he would be in a position to pass on knowledge. It’s hard for me to believe Daniel wouldn’t want to do something where he could help others thrive in some way.
I enjoy Cobra Kai for what it is but they far too often made it seem like Daniel’s trauma was his fault and that he had also injured Johnny and needed to make amends. I can’t tell you how much it bothered me when they brought Ali into the picture just to have her make the point that both Daniel and Johnny had their fair share of blame for what happened in the past.
No. Just no. The only person who was completely blameless in that entire situation was Daniel.
Karate Kid Legends seems like it’s going to show him the respect he deserves given everything he went through and present him as the mentor he would have probably become.
The trailer has him looking fierce, incredibly skilled and wise. We had two shots of Daniel fighting and already he looked like a force to be reckoned with. What little we saw of the fighting in general already has it miles ahead of anything we’ve seen in 6 seasons of Cobra Kai. Everything just looks fake and cheap in the latter by comparison.
It seems like it was beautifully shot and there was just a weight to everything that I’m very excited for and that was never present in Cobra Kai or the original movies if I’m being honest.
It looks like they decided to take everything that worked in the OG movies and elevate it.
It could be that it was just a very well put together trailer and the actual movie won’t live up to it at all but here’s hoping that it does and that it gives us the Daniel we deserve, and that it hopefully prevails over CK in people's consciousness.
Here’s hoping it’s as awesome as it looks and that it’s an absolute hit!

People who say with a straight face Daniel stole Allie form Johnny can never be taking seriously. Allie and Johnny were no longer together when she met Daniel . His friends (forgot which one ) literally says it at the beach before Johnny goes down there and start trouble . Then the “oh well Daniel should have mind his business ” so he should have just watch a girl be harassed by someone she clearly doesn’t want to be bother by ?
