You might’ve seen this pass by before Ann Demeulemeester Blanche white draped tunic with pleated bust — fall 2009 re-edition
One of our favourite Ann designs, therefor we try to snatch every version we can find. This crispy white cotton baby is especially fun as the fabric makes it keeps its volume, more than on the runway. And the white color emphasises the pleats and draping because of the shadows.
This one’s from the blanche line, which was an additional line launched by An, meant to reproduce her most iconic pieces for later seasons. Call it resort but more iconic.
And why not, if your designs are so timeless but people expect you to bring something new each collection, it would have been a shame not to do this. Sadly this concept was discontinued.
