FRIENDSHIPS.   while mick is relatively sociable and likes to get to know people, maybe even become friends with them, it will take a lot to become close friends with mick. this stems back to the fact that the last time he had a close friend, he ended up being manipulated by the elder british men of letters into killing him to prove his loyalty to the code. after that, mick has developed a fear that if he ever ends up in a situation where he has to prove his loyalty to them again, something similar might happen if he has close friends, so he tries to avoid that. in other words, he might be friendly towards people, but as long as he works under the BMOL, he will probably either distance himself or put up a more ‘strictly business’ front as soon as you try to get closer to him. in verses where he doesn’t return to the BMOL near the end of s12ep17 however, he might start opening up a bit more for closer friendships.

i saved an ostrich at a zoo once from choking after another kid had fed it grass with a huge dirt lump that got stuck in it’s throat

i once held a gibbon monkey’s hand for about 15-20 minutes at the same time and the same zoo as the ostrich thing mentioned above happened. the monkey was just sitting there and letting me kind of gently massage it’s fingers and stuff c’:
