Hello? Morrigan speaking.
No, that isn’t my real name. It’s a code name. You should have one too, if you want to last in Delta Green. What, you need the rundown?
Delta Green is an undercover organisation operating in the US. We occasionally have missions elsewhere, but… well, too many problems locally to worry about international operations.
We’re a secret of the government. We have agents in every agency, of course, but that’s necessary for our work. Resources and all that. We’re like a much less well-funded SCP Foundation. We don’t contain as much, though. More focused on research. And, if necessary, destruction.
Simply put, there are things in this world that aren’t natural. We investigate, research, and if necessary, put down. You need to be prepared for this if you’re going to be an agent for any lasting period of time. You’re in my cell, so you need a code name beginning with M.
I’ve been an agent for years, embedded in the CDC. I’ve seen things you couldn’t dream of. You will, too, if you’re here for a while.
Maybe one day I’ll tell you about the King in Yellow and the MacAllister building.
[ooc under cut]
Hello hello! @perseus-fairchild here! This is my RP blog for my Delta Green agent, Arthur K. Graham, code name Morrigan. I’ve only played him for two (very widely separated) sessions of Impossible Landscapes, so I may have some information about the Delta Green world as a whole wrong, but I like to think of this as an alternate universe.
Here’s a basic rundown of his story:
Arthur Graham is picked up as an agent by Delta Green while in university for epidemiology. He is embedded in the CDC with the code name Morrigan, researching the Deep One’s taint, a disease that transforms people into fish monsters. At a nebulous time in his career, he is sent to Maine to meet with members of another cell to investigate an island where the disease has progressed almost overnight. He meets them and they investigate.
Morrigan is the only one to wear protective gear. As such, he is the only one not infected. The disease is progressed incredibly fast by statues found in each home. Morrigan is faced with an impossible situation: kill his fellow agents like they ask, or allow them to turn. He goes with the former. He is adapted to helplessness.
Later, he is paged by Marcus, another member of his cell. A team of agents is taking too long investigating the MacAllister building. Find them, finish the investigation. They escape the night floors and Marcus calls. He wants to know: are the new agents trustworthy? Will they burn the building to the ground. The answer is yes. The MacAllister building is destroyed. Morrigan now has icthyomania (an obsession with fish. I managed to roll that as one of his possible disorders and had to go with it. It was perfect.)
Twenty years later, these agents (and one swapped out for a new character) are investigating a hotel in connection to the MacAllister Building. Who do they find there but Morrigan? He helps them investigate through this hotel, eventually finding their way into the Labyrinth. He finds his spirit bottle. It shatters, but somehow he lives to tell the tale.
I know there was a bit more to that last session there, but I can’t remember it lmao.
Arthur is a very fruity epidemiologist who uses he/him pronouns and is also from London, mainly because I want to use my Jonathan Sims impression when I voice him.
Feel free to ask almost anything you want, but remember: I reserve the right to ignore or delete any ask if it makes me uncomfortable. I am an adult, but that does not mean you get to be freaky.
