✦ FightAsOne is well established, long running, and diverse in terms of both players and characters! We are MCU / 616 based with continuous and well-organized comic and movie-inspired group plots following the first Avengers film and onward. ✦ Action based, game-wide plots where everyone is included and is able to contribute to a larger story, on top of their own subplots. With emphasis on character development and game progression, we encourage a diverse range of character interactions and relationships, so there is always something happening. Our latest plot was Civil War, and we’re now dealing with the emotional aftermath, but bigger things are on the horizon with S.H.I.E.L.D. beginning to crumble and The Hand seizing the opportunity to crawl out of the shadows! ✦ On top of big and personal plots, we also arrange AU weeks, ask nights, and various other interactive events to inspire threads, character development, and fun!

✦ An OOC sideblog as well as a daily-active group chat on Discord keeps all players in touch with each other, and allows them to easily engage in discussions both about the RP, comics, and other common interests!

            “Think I just found my catchphrase of the decade.” Harry chimes almost as soon as William expresses his ‘disapproval’ of the invention. Words were made up practically every century - weisure was totally legit. Maybe if he spread it around enough… 

                     The twinkle of mischief in his eye remains as he drums his fingertips once along the curved side of his own glass, red wine rippling gently from beneath the short-lived rhythm that thrummed through its body. He puts it to his lips, a small smirk tugging as William comes at him with that rebuttal. 

                                “I’ll take that as a compliment. Good to see you too, Bright Blue. Guessing you’re here as an envoy for the fam? Networking, keeping tabs… all the rest of it?”

          Warm eyes flit over the glass in the blond’s hand before raising back towards the familiarly impish expression - it’s ironic that Harry continues to ‘enjoy’ certain aspects of the living despite the inability to do so to its fullest capacity. It’s unfortunate, a poignant sense of pity wistfully ebbing away.

                    “Y’know, you’re the only person I know who calls me that... well, to my face that is. Who knows what other names are said behind my back.” It doesn’t bother him as such but it’s amusing to consider, a small shake of his head dismissing the notion entirely before moving onto the upcoming topic.

          “Yeah, I’m rep-ing us for the evening. Dad and one of my cousins wanted to come along but they’re a lil tied down right now with an issue that’s taking up far too much of their time - a small infestation that’s sorta threatening an area in South Africa. I was hoping to talk to some of our more international guests to gain any useful cultural insights.”

Shuri smiled at him. “Why come and hang around with these creatures, then, if you have entirely adorable intentions?” She whispered too, looking around at the variety of other beings. “Do not worry. I am more intimidating than you are. I have come here to learn, not to cause trouble. My Siblings have always kept ourselves to ourselves, in Africa. We come in peace, as they say in the West’s movies.”

          William gives a one shouldered shrug. “What can I say, I’m a people-person. Sure, some of these folks are terrifying but I find ‘em so interesting.” He smiles to himself, features broadening as she continues the moment of discretion. “Guess I’d better stick with you for protection, huh? Wow, that sounds so great - how are you finding it so far? Murders aside, that is...”

“ Enjoy yourself while you can, kid. It isn’t going to last - there’re humans here. Might as well make the most of it before we all die in a hail of bullets. So, yes - intrigue. ”

          “I’m holding out and hoping someone will come forward and say something. Maybe someone had some sorta weird vendetta against them...“

          “Sure, I get what you mean - it’s not the most ideal situation to be in. Crowded? Hmm, I guess you could call it that but--- it’s a party. It wouldn’t be so great if there were only a few people around.”

          “Intrigue? Sorry--- there are dead bodies in the area with bullet-holes in them. What part of this exactly is chalked up to just being good old fashioned fun?“

Jane looked up at the kid from behind her round-lens black glasses.  She stuck the cigarette between her teeth and smelled the herbs in the back of her throat.  “Well, I’m clearly not smoking it as you can see,” the witch replied coolly.  “We might be monsters but some of us still have manners.  I was gonna light it up until they closed all the windows and doors.”

She began to chew on the end of it somewhat before taking it back out of her mouth, holding it with the same regard as if it were lit.  “Maybe this place would be better off if I burned it anyways, to cleanse the aura, you know?”

          "Emphasis on the some.” It isn’t a comment especially pertaining to the woman, after all it isn’t a secret that some attendees weren’t particularly good at keeping a semblance of decorum when a good party was thrown into the mix of their outlandish ways. William’s brow furrows slightly with the suggestion, warm eyes briefly flitting over their surroundings to take in the lavish interiors

                    It’d be a shame to see it all go up in flames, considering the rich history that was held within these very ornate walls. “I don’t think the Nefarias would be too happy with an urn of ashes where their house used to be Maybe something a lil more substantial like a dolls house.” It’s his attempt of injecting a little humour even if it does fall flat a little. “I’m William by the way. I think I might’ve seen you at one of these gatherings before but we’ve never spoken.”

“Are you saying that your power, among this menagerie of strange and violent creatures, is to bring about flowers and bunny rabbits?” She couldn’t help laughing. “It’s sweet, I’ll give you that.”

          “Ha, yeah, that’s me. I used to think it was a coincidence that the cutest animals pop up during that season, but everything’s part of a balancing act.” William casts a quick glance outwards towards the other party-goers, leaning in slightly to whisper. “I’ll leave the intimidating stuff to everyone else.”

               “–Can I just say it’s a work and leisure thing?  Like … ‘Weisure’.”  

       Harry can’t manage that without a humored grin inching up his features as he attempts describes the phenomenon of somehow indulging in both at once. After all, William is well aware of how things work by now -  it makes things easy, in a way.

                   Seeing as Harry is, well, nothing if not professional. Whether he’s here or there, in this time or that; whether it’s true or untrue, it’s just par the course for his uncommitted reasons. A little bit playful, innately flexible. It’s not like even work always happened as planned…

                             “I’m just trying to compete for your title of being the ‘Life’ of all these parties. Could say I’m a little jealous.”

          “Never use that word again - it sounds like something you’d hear about at the doctors...“ The portmanteau is met with a playful albeit exaggerated rolls of his eyes, the gesture coupled with a stern expression purely for effect.

                    William awkwardly shifts a little on the spot, the unravelling of nerves evident as fingertips idly play with the stem of the glass in hand - it’s smooth to the touch and unremarkable, but the texture is nice enough to temporarily fixate on. He does manage a more pronounced yet faint simper, line of vision finally lifting to meet with the other’s.

          “Yeah? You might wanna go about it a different way.” The amusement in his voice spikes before tempering out. “I’d say it’s good to see you again, but something tells me I might regret that statement sooner or later...“

Jane stood in the corner of an anterior room of the mansion, fiddling with an unlit sage cigarette.  It was easier to gather her thoughts outside the throngs of people- much taller monsters than her roamed the mansion halls (and gods knew who else was roaming).  With her back against the wall, no one could exactly sneak up on her, could they?

          William needed a moment of respite to step away from the noisily chattering crowds, his quest for some much needed fresh air abruptly disrupted by the sight of the slender cigarette - it may not have been lit, but the prospect of its state altering shortly filled him with momentary dread. “Uh, should you be smoking that in here?”

“There’s no reason to think we can’t continue having a nice evening. After all, once is an accident, twice is coincidence. It’s not a pattern until we hit three.” She winks suggestively at him. “Besides, the company doesn’t seem too bad from where I’m standing.”

          “S-sorry. It’s been decades, but I guess I’m just not overly comfortable with the prospect of death. The permanence...“ Her joke falls a little flat for William but he manages a hapless smile despite himself, putting on a brave face. “Could be a lot worse. I’m having a real hard time dragging myself away from these mini quiches...”

“It never stops. But someone has to help them move on to the ancestral plane. You create life?”

          “It’s an important task people take for granted. Uh, ’create’ is a pretty strong word - I’d say I... give it a lil nudge. I help Spring take effect, a lotta prep goes into it but the hard work’s worthwhile.“

          “Sorry to hear that, I guess death doesn’t believe in taking a vacation. I’m sorta on the other side of the spectrum - new life’s part of my M.O.“
