so you can glimpse eternity at 3am, electric fan humming and silence ringing, every breath small and soft swallowed by your ribs. maze of rooms that look just like this one, never moving but stumbling lost through them anyways. time feels like an endless plaster wall in the dark and your hands look like faint shadows darkening approaching knocking against it.

your eyes hurt. big deal. at some point it has to end, right? you have to fall asleep. you have to wake up. can't stay up longer, can't push your body further than it's already been pushed. all the cells in your body can be counted, though not by you. theoretically the universe has edges, an end. where everything had moved far enough away from each other that it might as well not or simply doesn't exist. just clouds of smoke and haze. let it in your lungs and let it fill your head. eternity's just another feeling. breathe it out.
