One night, in Gotham, the new economic Paris district, the wealthy and philanthropic Thomas and Martha Wayne were killed, leaving their adoptive son, Ulrich Wayne, orphaned and traumatised.

After three years, the young boy, helped by his ever loyal butler Alfred Pennyworth, and his best friend and nephew of Alfred, William Dunbar, Ulrich was able to get back on his feets. After that night, a family name haunts his mind: Stern, the one the assassin of his parents screamed after seeing the young boy. An objective settles in Ulrich's mind: uncover the secret behind the Stern family and his adoption, and make sure that no family in the world ever goes through the same night as his.
