Do you have any voice claims for your attls characters? I want to imagine how they would sound!

Good question! We have discussed that at HQ and we have a pretty good idea of how they could sound like, but not any specific VA’s or anything. 🤭

I guess the best I could do is describe it to you? 🤔 I had some ideas in my head but @abbyz-elda was super kind to write it all pretty for me 🫶 thanks girl! Here’s what she wrote:

When talking to his subordinates or in a professional setting, Link’s voice is clear and authoritative. It’s not as deep as Ganondorf’s, and he can put a lot of volume behind it if he needs to. However, his default volume during conversation is quieter than others. When he is giving commands, his diction is clear and it’s easy to understand him, but in one-on-one conversations with friends or family members, he has a tendency to mumble or stumble over his words. His voice differs based on the scenario he’s in. Usually his tone is cold, but when he speaks to Zelda, it becomes warm and sweet, like someone poured honey over it.

 

Ganondorf’s voice is deeper and raspier than Link’s. It does not differ as much between types of conversations, and he can often be the loudest person in the room. It is warm and friendly, but quickly begins to turn colder when he starts taking on more responsibilities as the King of the Gerudo. Like Link, he can put a lot of authority in his voice, but his volume is mostly what gets people’s attention. Though he is Gerudo, he has a Hylian accent. As he spends more time in Gerudo Town, he starts to pick up a Gerudo lilt to his accent that can be heard when he says certain words.

 

Zelda has the voice of a princess. Clear, confident, with impeccable diction. Her voice is in the middle range, but on the lower end of the spectrum. She does not have to speak loudly for people to want to listen to her, and her tone is warm and friendly. When she is passionate about something, she can get louder and doesn’t know how to control her volume. She uses her hands a lot when she talks, and her movements get more wild if she’s passionate about what she’s talking about. She pronounces all of her words deliberately and clearly. When she talks to Link, her voice is softer and sweeter, giving him more opportunities to talk since he’s usually more shy with her.

I really feel like this chapter tied a nice bow around the Zora arc. One of my faves 🫶 (which one is not my fave tho? Skdkfkfk) Now that the Zora arc is all wrapped up, we come one step closer to the end with the next arc 🫶✨

Hey! That’s super valid! So first I will put this little paragraph over here for the people that want to find out for themselves 👀 If you don’t want any spoilers, I suggest you keep scrolling because the next paragraph contains ALTTS spoilers for Ganondorf’s arc… (you’re scrolling right? 😂)

Ok, so my original intent for their relationship was always platonic. I never thought of them as more than first, rivals, and as the story progresses, friends or maybe siblings. Even though their ages in the story are close (Riju 22, Gan 24) I gotta be honest, the thought of a romantic relationship between them never even crossed my mind in the slightest until someone mentioned it in the comments and I was like, oh? 👁️ interesting 👁️. We have discussed the topic amongst the ALLTS Team and we all share the same opinion. The original intent is still there and there won’t be anything more than friendship in there for them. hello!! i wanted you to know that there's a spanish tiktoker called @_magdalenita that reminds me so much of altts zelda !! i've been thinking this since chapter 27 came out and i saw the kiss illustration. i think that she's like the live action version of her.

Hi!! I just wanted to ask, is A Link To The Stars only on Ao3? Or is it also on another platform?

Hi!!! It is currently only in Ao3✨👁️ @abbyz-elda and I have considered other platforms, but we think Ao3 is the best option right now for posting ALTTS. The layout of writing and illustration looks the best there, and it does not have a gazillion ads plaguing it as other platforms do. 😅

I’m so behind in your story and you’ve probably answered this before somewhere so I apologize if you have— but what is everyone’s age in your au (Impa, Zelda, Zelda’s brother, Link, Ganon, etc.) ? Are they all close in age or have kind of an older/younger sibling vibe if that makes sense aha 👀

Hi!! Thank you so much!! 🥺✨ Nobody has asked this before, actually! 🫶 I guess in the story some of their ages can be calculated because of events and mentions of time but it is not clearly stated either.

Impa is 36, Zelda is 21, Rhoam is 15, Link 22, Riju 22, Ganondorf 24, Nabooru 40…

I guess the main trio and Riju are the ones that are the closest in age ✨ Impa is a lot like a mother figure/older sister to Zelda as Nabooru is to Ganondorf. (Though Nabooru and Ganondorf can have their strong arguments sometimes) Rhoam sees Link as his role model and he really really likes and respects him. Link and Ganondorf are the closest of brothers (with problems lol) I guess I could describe all their relationships but I’m not sure that’s what you were looking for lol.

ALTTS Ganondorf random fact: He plays the guitar and sings very well 🦭✨ his favorite thing to play is the old Gerudo Valley song ✨ He also often drags Link to his informal public performances at the barracks or downtown. 🦭
