Summer Solstice Celebration!
Hello my lovelies! Only one week left until the Summer Solstice and I am just beaming for the upcoming celebration! I decided to make another post like my Spring Equinox celebration one since you all seemed to like it so much. I do plan on having a bit more of a ‘proper’ ritual and celebration of the day since that Monday I have off from work, but here are some other low-key ways that I am going to celebrate the day. I’ve split it into two sections of day activities and night ones because the Summer Solstice can go all night long and I plan on doing a whole cycle’s worth of things.
During the Day:
Greet the sun! I know it’s going to be an early sunrise, but if you’re there to greet the sun, you’ll be starting the day off on the right foot! You can either just lay in bed and watch the sun rise from your window or head outside and do a sun salutation, both will give you energy!
Wear your favourite summer clothes! Shorts, tanks tops, t-shirts, sun dresses- even flip flops if you can get away with it! The colours associated with Liltha are reds, oranges, yellows/golds, blues, greens and white!
I’m going to be setting my citrine, clear quartz and peridot stones absorb the sunlight throughout the day- other gems that would love to be out on the Summer Solstice would be fluorite, sunstone, agate, carnelian, and any stone that is green or yellow in colour! But you best check to see if it’ll fade in colour before you set it out all day. If that might happen, then the moon light will work just as well.
For lunch, enjoy a summer salad filled with summer berries like strawberries and blueberries, apples, leafy greens and a sweeter dressing! The berries are a great way of celebrating what the summer will bring for you.
Get outside! I don’t care if it’s for five minutes at your lunch break or an hour long hike like I plan on doing, but get outside and live in nature! Breath in the fresh summer breeze, feel the sun on your skin, meditate and be with nature.
There are so many ways to drink summer in- literally! Lemonade, iced tea, fruit juices, herbal teas like chamomile, rose or lavender will be such a great way to get just that little bit of summer in you.
Today is also a great day to try and interact with the faeries and fae folk. Leave a small offering of milk and honey (or a honey cake!) outside in your garden, in a park, on the outside window ledge, and the fae will appreciate the gesture! Who knows- that could be the start of a relationship between you and them.
At Night:
Have friends over or go out to dinner! If nothing else, the summer solstice is about celebrating with friends and family! It’s about being thankful for what you have and getting excited for the summer, so get together and discuss your upcoming summer plans! Who knows what might come out of it?
Listen to music- your favourite music, and sing your heart out! The god Apollo (the Greek god of Light, Sun, music and poetry) is one of the many gods who will be thriving off the activities of today and you can honour them by just enjoying music and art.
Light candles- or your barbecue! Traditionally, this sabbat is celebrated with a balefire (outside campfire), but if you’re like me and lack an outside fire pit, then lighting up the bbq and cooking up some veggie or meat kebabs will be a good way of making a feast and substituting the ‘real thing’. No BBQ? No stress- light up some candles and watch it glow. Bonus points if they are coloured or scented to match the holiday.
Make a craft for the summer- a flower crown, a bird house, a sun catcher. I know I plan on making a flower crown and perhaps painting that day, but so long as you create something, spell or not, it can honour the day’s celebrations.
Watch the sunset- like watching the sunrise, watching the longest day of the year come to a close will be an amazing way to celebrate the whole of the Summer Solstice.
Are you of legal age? Have a drink of summer wines or berry ciders- just remember to give either the first or last sip to nature, the faeries will find it!
Decorate your home for summer and for the summer solstice by incorporating some common symbols as decor- seashells, fresh flowers like sunflowers, daisies, carnations, and peonies, little statues of birds, deer, faeries, feathers from birds, and shining crystals. The summer decor, beach house look is always a popular one during June and July so you’ll bled right in.
So this is the rough outline of what I plan on doing during the Summer Solstice! I am going to do a spell that day I think, but I haven’t decided what just yet. I’m thinking a motivation spell or a creativity spell, so I can charge up my summer and all the writing I plan on doing. All I know is that it’s going to be a great day! I hope that I have inspired you to celebrate, regardless of how busy you may be that Monday.
I hope you have an amazing week and a fantastic Summer Solstice! Love you all and sending all my good vibes out to you for this summer.
-Faye xx

🔥 Room Healing Spell 🔥
A spell that can be cast at any moon phase or any time of the day to turn your room into a magick-inducive environment. The perfect spell for baby witches who want to start with spellwork. I created this when I was 12 (2006) and it has been 11 years since then and it’s still effective.
Recommended to Cast During: Any moon phase at any time of the day.
Colors: Black and White
Needed:
🌿 2 Candles (either white or black)
🌙 An Athame (or any pointed object for engraving a candle)
🌿 A Wand (or any stick that is made from any natural material such as twigs, pencils, wooden chopsticks, selenite crystal, clear quartz wand)
To Cast:
🌿 Light one of the candles.
🌙 Start engraving a protection sigil or any symbolism that you dedicate with strength and protection on the unlit candle.
🌿 Twirl your wand around your engraved candle and say,
“Go away negativity and sway away. Positivity, if you wish to enter, you may.”
🌿 Light the engraved candle and carry it.
🌙 Bring the engraved candle with you and light the four corners of your room moving clockwise (start with north)
🌿 Meditate for 5 minutes after (chakra meditation is recommended or plain floor grounding is alright; that is to lie down completely on the floor)
What To Expect:
🌿 Your room will turn into a much more relaxing environment.
🌙 Negative energy that was collected through time will be diminished.
🌿 Better sleep, better naps, better magick.
🌙 Stronger magick especially for healing and love.

💐Picnic witchcraft guide💐
Sandwich correspondences
Fruit correspondences
Vegetable correspondences
Tea correspondences (sun tea, tea in general, floral tea)
Flower correspondences- can be used as decoration, for flower crowns, as a fun nature activity (collecting them respectfully, of course), and edible flowers can be used for deserts, drinks, and salads!
Desserts- here’s some witchy dessert recipes, perfect for any picnic!
(Tiny strawberry pies, cranberry pistachio shortbreads, cardamom pear cake, ginger and fig tart, apricot coconut bites, and lavender tea bread)
Locations- fun witchy locations for picnics include:
🌹a botanical garden, floral garden, or any sort of garden (perfect for fae, floral, air, green, life, spring, and summer witchcraft)
☀️a sunny open field/area (probably has wild flowers!, great for air, sun, floral, and weather witchcraft)
🌙⭐a night picnic under the stars and moon! (Perfect for lunar, nocturnal, and cosmic witchcraft)
🌳a park (great for all witchcraft, very versatile)
🌊💧a beach, pond, lake or near any body of water (perfect for water, sea, and love witchcraft)
👻a cemetery (perfect for death, spirit, medium, and floral witchcraft. Just make sure it’s allowed and you’re respectful of graves)
🌲A forest (perfect for forest, tree, nature, green, earth, and hedge witchcraft, here’s some tree correspondences)
Other witchy picnic ideas:
Stones/crystals to bring- it depends a lot on location and the general theme of the picnic! But a few favorites of mine are:
rose quartz, opalite, any aura quartz, sunstone, agate, tigers eye, and selenite (especially peach selenite)
Scents- I like to focus on scents a lot during picnics. It can make the experience so much more enjoyable! Location once again plays a huge role, but you can always spray your picnic blanket with essential oils, use strongly scented herbs or flowers, use a specific perfume, or even a specific tea that smells good. Some scents I like to focus on during picnics are:
lemon, orange, grapefruit, lemongrass, strawberry, orange blossom, gardenia, rose and lavender
Bring some little spells or offerings with you! A picnic in nature is the perfect time to do a little crafting, especially love, self care, fae, peace and happiness spells. And you can correspond your picnic with the intent of the spell!
It’s also a great time for devotional offerings and any other offerings, especially fae offerings.
Put together a picnic spell- an entire picnic can be a spell! Everything from location, to drinks, to food, and the extra stuff you bring along can be in it.
🍑Have fun picnic witching! 💐

How to: Dandelion Oil
Step 1: Harvesting dandelions
Harvest dandelions (from fields / lawns / gardens that haven’t been sprayed with chemicals) in a sunny day, not too early in the morning so that the dew has evaporated.
Only harvest full ones! They should be open and not have any dark spots. You can cut them just under the flower heads, as we’re only using the flowers.
How many you harvest is really up to you! Depends on how much oil you want to make / the size of your container. Please note that dried flowers take up wayyy less space than fresh ones so gather at least twice the size of your container if you want to fill it completely (it is not necessary though).
Step 2: Wash & Dry the dandelions
Dandelions are usually full of small insects. Be sure to wash them carefully, but don’t crush them! A good idea if you can’t get all the insects to come off is to leave the flowers spread out on a towel for a few minutes (not too long though) and see if insects come out of their own.
I know some people only let the flowers wilt overnight, but I prefer to let them dry longer, up to 3/ 4 days. This way mold won’t grow in the jar. Remember to place the flowers on a towel in an airy room, where they won’t be disturbed while they dry. Turn the flowers upside down after 1 day to help the drying process.
Step 3: Making Dandelion Oil
When the flowers are ready, put them in a jar and cover them with olive oil: you don’t have to fill the whole jar, just enough to cover the dandelions. Remove air bubbles with a knife and stir a bit.
Cover the jar with cheesecloth / cotton: this way, mold won’t form and ruin your oil. Tie the cloth with an elastic and place the jar in a sunny spot for 2 weeks. Do not leave it longer than that! Otherwise mold will grow.
After two weeks, strain the flowers: you can use a funnel to pour the oil in another bottle/jar.
The dandelion oil is ready! Do not leave it in the sun, and if possible store it in a dark glass bottle/jar.
Please remember that you must use it within a year of making it, so label the bottle! (Trust me, you will forget when you made it)

I am working at gamestop and I have almost the same experience. Why do people think, they are someting better than people behind counters?

PLEASE read this. Customer service is NOT easy. I lost faith in humanity today. Luckily there were several really kind customers this afternoon to make me feel a little better. I love my job at the pub so much, but today was rough. Be kind. Be understanding. Please try to remember that everyone has feelings, just like you. We are trying our hardest and doing the best we possibly can.
- Just because we are waitresses does not mean we are below you.
- You most likely are not our only table.
- Just because you cant see us does not mean we aren’t doing something else.
- Being rude will not get you anywhere.
- If you say you are ready to order…actually be ready to order.
- Understand the fact that we don’t control what happens in the kitchen.
- Don’t make up your own menu items.
- The joke about wanting the winning lottery numbers or a million dollars when I ask what you would like, really isn’t that funny when we hear it everyday.
- Understand nothing in a restaurant is free…except for water.
- If you have been waiting for 20 minutes for a table, understand that when you order your food, there is going to be another waiting game. Don’t blame the waitress for waiting forty minutes…it’s out of our control
- If you want separate checks tell us upfront…not at the end.
- Please don’t whistle, yell, wave, or send your child to us to get our attention.
- If you need something, be upfront about it. Please don’t make us go back and forth.
- If you are under a time limit, get your food to-go. Or before you order, ask about wait time.
- Arguing about who will pay the bill puts us in an awkward situation.
- When we are carrying food to your table and we don’t have yours, don’t ask where it is. I’m not an octopus, I only have two hands.
- When we get compliments about how we are doing we really appreciate them because we don’t always hear them.
