1. Summer homework if you have any. I’ve had homework every single summer since 1st grade (around 7 years old) but I know that a lot of schools don’t do this. This is actually my first summer in 11 years without any homework since I am graduating from high school this weekend!
2. Teach yourself something new / take a class online. Personally, I’ll be using Memrise to teach myself Astronomy, French, some miscellaneous history, Political Science, and ASL. If you’re looking to learn a language, I highly recommend Duolingo as well, and there are a huge number of other websites where you can take classes.
3. Get school supplies for next year. Pretty self-explanatory :)
4. Read more! Pick up one of those books that you’ve been meaning to read, or go to the library and choose a book that looks interesting. If you like writing, you could also write a paper about it.
5. Get some work experience or volunteer. Although not really study related, it can improve your ability to work during the school year.
6. Organize your room, desk, backpack, closet, etc.
7. Pick up or pursue a hobby. Maybe you haven’t had time to practice guitar or painting since you’ve been so busy with school, but now is your time to actually do it! If you can’t think of any hobbies or skills to try, there are a bunch of ideas online.
8. Set up a bullet journal if you haven’t already. If you don’t know what that is or haven’t tried one yet, there’s tons of inspiration right here in the studyblr community!
9. Start the 30 day studyblr challenge, the 100 days of productivity challenge, or another similar challenge. Yes, even during the summer!
10. And lastly, just RELAX. We all push ourselves so hard during the school year, we all need to learn how to relax and keep ourselves from burning out.

It was a huge disappointment as a child to fall in love with the stars and then find out how much math it requires to get anywhere near them.

what I wish I knew on the hard days
It’s okay to be tired. So sleep in, take a nap. Now, do wake up and go to classes, to work, to meetings and all the other appointments. But it’s okay to be tired. Those in a battle become weary and wounded, and this life is one great battle right now.
It’s okay not to be okay. You are not weak for feeling like you can’t make it through today. You are not a failure for struggling this much. It’s okay not to be okay because really, how is anyone okay living in this fallen world in the midst of all these broken people?
Tell your Mama you’re not okay. I know, oh I know, your relationship with your Mom might not be a good one. But I believe that when a mother hears how her child is hurting, there is this Mama bear that comes alive in her and she so wants to help. She might not know how, though, so maybe tell her? Tell her that you just need someone to love you right here, right now. Tell her that you want to talk, that you don’t want to talk. Tell her that you need someone to believe in you because you can’t right now.
Share with a safe person what is hard right now. Tell them what hurts. Then, let go of all of it and listen to them telling you that you are loved, that you are enough, that you are absolutely amazing just as you are. Let them carry you in prayers when you are weak and worn – because you will do just the same for them when they go through hard days. Strong ones are those who let others help them walk in this journey of life.
Struggling means you’re human. Struggling doesn’t make you a failure. It only means you’re just like the rest of us, trying to figure out how to keep going forward in the midst of the messy and the mundane.

Okay so many of you know about Ramadan, the month in the islamic calander where every muslim who’s not travelling, pregnant, breastfeeding, diabetic or on their period or is ill or elderly has to fast from dawn until sunset and refrain from smoking, sex, swearing, etc. Instead of sending everyone I follow what I would like them to tag as #nsfr (not safe for ramadan), here is a list of things to tag:
food
nudes/ nsfw
kissing/ pda
smoking
bad language
I’d appreciate it if people reblog this so every muslim doesn’t have to ask the 400+ blogs they follow to tag stuff. Thanks!

My 5 steps to help get your life together
May 13th 2018, blog post.
In my cold bedroom, I sit on my bed with a warm cup of green tea in one hand, as I type away on my laptop.
As I take a sip of my green tea, I turn to one of my open tabs. In the tab, I googled ideas about how I could and can improve my own life, though I feel as if I’ve done nothing for the past week or so.
I’ve always loved the idea about where I want to be in the next 5 years. What my goals would be and what type of city I would want to live in by then…
I decided to make my first blog post, due to staying up watching inspiring youtubers talk about their blogs and how to start blogging, scary I know. But,  I want to know my worth. I want to know if I can write…a blog post.
Not just any blog post. A blog post filled with tips to help with getting your life together. I have come up with these simple five steps to hopefully help you. So without further notice, here are my tips.
Step 1. Self-Discipline
Now, you might think how can this help me with getting my life together? Well, read on.
-Learning to wake up early, to write everyday, to study one hour a night, read a book each month, go to work (even if you hate your job!), these are simple ways to have discipline with ourselves.
Step 2.  A clean home, is a clear mind
Cleaning your home or even your bedroom is an important aspect on getting your life together. Name one reason why it is a good idea to come home from school, in a unmade bed, clothes everywhere on the ground, and dirty dishes under your bed? If you don’t want to live a badass life, go for it. If you do want to live a badass life…clean, clean, clean!
Step 3. Start a new hobby
Think about all the things you love to do when you have free-time? Do you bake, knit, write, read, bike ride? or even binge watch film and TV series? Yes, these are all hobbies.
Hobbies are important, they help us through, depression, a break up, when your parents ground you, they even help when your going through a personal situation. Yes they distract us, but one of your hobbies could turn into an interest which you could turn into a career. Now, that’s what I call badass.
I challenge you to start a new hobby this month, and then imbox me how well it went, or how well it didn’t go.
Step 4. Organizing
Organizing is an important skill to have. With any job, career, or routine you need to know how to organize.
1. Organize your planner or diary. At the start of each month write down important dates, phone calls, meetings or even deadlines which you have that month.
2. Write down a routine. Write when to clean, when you have time to workout, when you have time for friends and when you have time to do any hobby you wish to do. Some people write when they have their meals and when to take medication as well.
Step 5. Having goals and achieving them!
“Work hard, Play hard.” - Most people know this motto sung by Wiz Khalifa.
If you don’t have any goals in life, congrats you’re a perfect human being. Your successful, you have an amazing house and live in the perfect neighborhood. I’m so proud of you.
But for the people who are down in the dups about not having their life together… setting goals could change all that.
Setting goals and achieving them is vital in anyone’s life. We can all live a successful life, but we have  to work for it. Nothing in life comes easy, does it?
Think about it, you don’t lose weight by not setting goals for how many times a month, week or even year your going to workout and eat healthy for. You don’t start an acting career without setting goals, for example: How many workshops and classes could I take this month to be able to build my acting resume even more? You have to set goals in life, or you will never have your life together.
And there you have it! My simple and easy steps to help you get your life together. These steps can also help with helping you through hard times and when you need to get your life on track again.
I pray these tips in my words have helped you one way or another. Feel free to inbox me your thoughts on this post and any blog post ideas you would like to see me type up for you In the future.
 Thanks for reading,
Love, Samantha Dietrich.
Please share and like.
Xoxo
