you know, maybe the internet shouldn’t be controlled by payment processors and terf lobbyists. and maybe people should be more concerned about this rise of censorship on queer media.

Begging and pleading for people to realize that some people may not experience sexual attraction but sometimes they may be sexually aroused by certain concepts/actions. And sometimes this then means they want to participate in sex with someone so long as the concepts/actions are present.

They aren't attracted to the person they are having sex with, but they are aroused by whatever is occurring within the sexual scene.

Sex favorable aces don't just have sex because their partner wants to have sex!!! Some sex favorable aces do seek sexual stimulation with other people for their own pleasure!! Big surprise! Shocking development!!

And this is also stigmatized because it's believed you need to find someone attractive to have any drive to have sex with them! Like! No! Some of us are just more interested in their ability to perform what arouses us!

I tried makeup for a while in college but I could tell it was actually making my dysphoria *worse* because I'd feel alright about myself but then take it off at the end of the day and I'd see my face without makeup and suddenly be hit by how ugly I felt without it and I was like oh. this doesn't seem healthy. so I swore it off and threw it all out and now my bare face doesn't really bother me anymore. I want to feel good about myself at all hours of the day, actually

sometimes you read an academic article written about an international issue or a topic that affects people all over the world and at no point is it explicitly specified that the paper you are reading is only about one region or country and still without a shadow of a doubt you can tell that it's written by an us-american for other us-american researchers

follow up to this post, obviously, but what they don't warn you about is that if you're in a fandom long enough not only will you develop a fandom nemesis, but if you're unlucky enough, you'll start to encounter mini versions of your nemesis who have all the same terrible opinions but lack the authenticity of your original nemesis because they're just parroting what they've seen get traction and chasing after clout instead of forming their own bad opinions. you at least understand and perhaps even respect why your nemesis doubled down on that bad take because you were both in the trenches. on different sides, of course, but still suffering that terrible violence together. meanwhile, these pale imitations know nothing of war and are utterly unworthy of your respect.
