I mean my understanding is that kinkshaming seemed less common because kink was much more heavily censored in the first place (which is its own kind of shaming), [I'm not sure what yo mean by 'the boundaries between fan and creator'], radicalization happened because fandom was no longer actively de-policitized by dominant demographics, horizontal policing is ALWAYS better than vertical policing and that there is nowhere in history where there was less bullying going on before the 2010s.

It is 6:32pm In the other monitor, I am adjusting my resume to appeal to a slightly different business.
Above this post was one about the importance of reading bad books and it got me wondering if I'll encounter enough books I actually dislike in my extant reading list or if I need to seek bad books out.
do me a favor and reblog this and put in the tags what time it is for you and what you're currently doing/thinking about

Wild that people still believe in plagiarism. Nobody ever self-identified "plagiarist," it was a canard by the catholic church to root out Cathars and other political enemies.

Maybe, but it's a brilliant thing to put in a survival game. It means you don't take any of your progress for granted.
creepers are such a hilariously bad thing to put in a sandbox game

Take this L.
Now turn it upside down- that's an Allen key. Now imagine a box. In this box is everything that makes you you. It has no hinges or buttons. The only way to open it is to use the AlLen key to unscrew the front facing side. Removing it will be difficult, but you can do it.
Now imagine what's inside: your memories, your beliefs, your gifts; but also your fears, your insecurities. I want you to think about which ones caused you to do what you did. I want you to take them out of the box and look at them. Take a good long look at each one, so you can understand them: so you can understand what you did.
And then I want you to forgive yourself, because that's the only way you can move forward. We all have things inside us that make us do what we come to regret. And it is unfair to ourselves to expect us to ever be free of them, or free of their influence. But we can be better than them: we can stop short of submitting to their worst impulses. I want you to promise that you will try. Please.
Now put them back in the box. All of them. Place them neatly, carefully, and with love. And if you like, close the front face again. You don't have to screw it back in. It can be less of a safe to hide from yourself, and more of a toy chest to treasure and delight in. But you should still hold onto the Allen key, because if you turn it around it will remind you of when you took this L lmao.
