A List of Websites About Theistic Satanism

Learning about Satanism has kind of become a hyperfocus so I decided to compile a list of websites that have a decent amount of information on them. A lot of these are old websites but the information is still useful. If you have a website to suggest feel free to DM me and I'll add it!

In Satan's Honour - This website is pretty regularly updated and even has a patreon! There are a lot of thought provoking articles and great resources on there.

Theistic Satanism - This website is from like, 2006. But it does have a lot of information on it. Unfortunately, their "other websites" section does include some dead links.

Spiritual Satanist - The website and blog is a great resource and the author is vocally anti nazi. She made a blog post about how nazis don't belong in the community a few years back.

Spiritual Satanist Blog - The blog for the above site! Lots of interesting and useful stuff here too.

Your Friendly Neighbourhood Devil Worshipper - Maintained by the same person who maintains the BGC website. LOTS of great advice, sermons and even has a section for new theistic satanists.

Black Goat Cabal - Now shut down but the websites maintained. Lots of essays, rituals and advice.

In Praise Of Satan - A website about someone's personal journey with Satan. There is an FAQ section along with some other useful information.

Hello to all of my wonderful siblings out there. I have been gone for a lot longer than I intended, with various things needing my attention more than this account has.

I have gone through several changes in my life: physically, mentally, and spiritually, and I am ready to return to this blog and take it in a slightly different direction.

I will no longer be placing Rev. in front of my name, as I want to be placed on the same level as all of you. I am here to be your brother on this path, not a figure to look up to to help dictate it. While I have many years of being a Satanist under my belt, it no longer felt right to put myself in a position of authority.

Expect within the next few weeks for there to be some changes to the overall look of this account and more active posting.

Hiatus

Hello and good morning to all of you. I'm sorry to announce that I won't be very active for a while, as my partner is in a bad mental state and they, along with work, are my priority. I'm also experiencing my own mental issues, which those close to me that follow this blog know of. I hope to queue some posts from time to time, and any asks I receive I will eventually get around to.

I hope that you all stay safe, and that if you are in my position you need to remember to put your or your partner's health first.

How to Say the Lord’s Prayer Backward

On April 30th of this year, I held a special, solitary rite. It was Walpurgis Night and I wanted to call upon the Horned One, as that is his special time. I live in the northernmost part of New England on a large piece of land, far away from the city and even far away from my own neighbors. That evening I ventured into the woods using only a candle lantern. As I walked, I gathered sticks and small branches for a fire. There is a clearing in the woods that holds a century-old apple orchard. The apple trees are twisted, malnourished, and never bear fruit. There I lit a small fire and, when it was hot, I tossed in some herbs. I recited the Lord’s Prayer in reverse, repeatedly.

I felt as though I was being watched by a million ghostly eyes. As I left, a warm wind rustled last autumn’s leaves on the path behind me. I had wonderful dreams that night and that’s all I’ll say about that. I do have to keep quiet about some things.

I love the practice of saying the Lord’s Prayer backward. I first read about it in Paul Huson’s Mastering Witchcraft, where he prescribes it as a sort of initiation ritual. In The Devil’s Dozen by Gemma Gary (which inspired the rite described above), it is used to call forth the Man in Black. Unfortunately, I have found very few versions of the Lord’s Prayer backward that would actually sound like English in reverse. Most versions I have seen simply print the entire thing backward, letter by letter. But that’s not enough. The word “the” backward is eht. But it is not pronounced “ett.” It is pronounced more like “uhth.” So I took the time and wrote the entire thing out backward phonetically, syllable by syllable. It can be used to call forth the Horned One or the Lady of Fate. It is powerful.

May I ask what a good offering for the devil may be?

Traditional offerings consist of butter, milk, honey, bread, alcohol (preferably whine, whisky, or beer), and blood.

You could also burn herbs or incense blends in His honor, leave a chalice of water on your altar for Him, or you could place various coins on your altar for Him.

He also greatly enjoys sexual offerings.

You could also recite venerating prayers to Him.

It’s really up to you, and how you choose to honor Him.

You could even present an offering of artwork. I’ve seen people draw or paint or write poetry as an act of worship to Him. In fact, I just got a Sigil of Lucifer tattoo as an act of devotion. It’s up to you.

Know Thyself Spread

A divination spread themed around Baphomet, The Sabbatic Goat. This spread is used to get a grasp on yourself. It’s a more harsh/brutally honest so I think it would be good for shadow work as well.

1. The core. The bare basics/core of who you are.

2. Pentagram. What drives/motivates you.

3. Caduceus. You in the present/at the moment

4 + 5. Hooves. What has driven you to this point.

6. Solve. What you need to let go of.

7. Coagula. What you need to embrace.

8+9. Horns. Your deepest desires at the moment.

10+11. Wings. How you can achieve those desires.

12. The Torch. What you need to accept to move forward in life.

Okay this has been bothering me all morning.

You can't come in to a path that, from all the source material, requires effort and resourcefulness and a little bit of tenacity, look around and go "nope, can't do it" and expect results. You can't upend an entire tradition, not do the work (whether out of laziness or incapability), and get mad that other practitioners expect you to put in the bare minimum.

If you can't work within one paradigm, for whatever reason, find another. There are countless magical processes out there or you could make your own.

Stop coming in to other people's homes to raid the pantry and get rid of the furniture then get upset with people for not having it.

Lucifer is Not a Symbol of Hate.

He is not here to damn you to eternal suffering. Not to cloud your mind and make you blind. Not to take away your freedoms and make you a slave. There is no punishment for disobeying/not following him. And he shouldn’t be used that way. He’s the saviour of humanity. He has freed us and given us knowledge and wisdom. He has opened our minds to the world around us, even past the human realm. He helps us grow and achieve our higher selves. He is loving, strong, and courageous. His light can be felt all around us; a comforting warmth. He makes us strong and brave. He shows us the truth that others hide from us. He is the lightbringer, and the king of this world.
