Actually in response to that first comment, that tribe has had extended contact with outside world. In recent years they've actually traveled to nearby islands to get certain foods that don't grow on theirs like bananas. That article is tied to another interesting article about T.N. Pandit, the anthropologist who had the most contact with the people of that island.
Anywho, the real story here is how people are still outchea tryna be evangelical imperialists when they knooowww the people they tryna talk to ain't having it!
I’m glad this article highlights that if this man made it to shore and had extended contact with these people, he would have exposed them to diseases they’ve never seen before and potentially killed them all. There’s a reason it’s illegal to go there, and Jesus isn’t gonna protect them from chicken pox or the flu.
