@bravesung asked: “ uncle kazuya, please — please — I sincerely beg you — to not rage if we play uno again.” / I HAD TO DO IT XD
"I will promise to try and contain my temper for your sake Hanamaru." Kazuya inclined his head. Looking more akin to a scolded kitten than the usually stoic and unshakeable man he was. "But in my defence I saw Chaolan cheat with that plus one hundred with my own eyes and even Lars backed me up." It wasn't exactly helping his case.

Kazuya gave a thankful nod to his neice for the tea, waiting until she sipped hers. Unlike with most, Kazuya was weighing his words carefully. Not wanting to cause her unessarcy heartache by being...himself about it.
No, he must act with a gentleness. Especially if the boy has been up to this point, a good partner. He also knew this could sound hypocritical due to his own sins. But he couldn't have a repeat of the past.
"My comcerns lay in his past. As you know, I've..not exactly been a paragon of virtue." It was that past that made him reconise "Fen Yi" wasn't just some harmless kitchen worker.
"I'm glad he is treating you and Ryuujin well. But I..recognise him from from my mispent days. Has he..mentioned his past at all to you?"
( anestofmuses. ) ━━━━━━ "..Hanamaru, I have concerns about your new boyfriend." - Uncle Kazuya from the other blog has thought over a certain wild!
❛ you do? ❜ you set down the cups, pouring the tea from the teapot before taking your seat across from the older man. kazuya had always been opinionated, and this was one of those moments. you saw the shift in his expression, as if he'd been carrying this thought for some time, waiting for the right moment to let it out. you wanted to give him that space. ❛ fen yi is amazing ━━━━━ very caring, charming, and gentle with ryuujin. that means everything to me, because above all, ryuujin’s comfort comes first. but . . . what are your concerns, uncle kazuya? ❜

Kazuya's own, brown gaze had softened with concern, considerably so upon seeing Jun so exhausted and troubled. He wanted to take away all her troubles. But even his now purified powers couldn't erase nightmares.
"I am here Jun, you are safe with me." He murmured softly singing the lullaby that his mother always sung for him, wrapping his arms around her, cradling his beloved wife with a tenderness that always existed just for her.
Jun looked down at her husband with dark, sleep deprived eyes. They softened when they met his. She couldn't sleep. She was afraid to, afraid that the moment laid back down and closed her eyes, she would see it again...that thing.
Was this how her beloved son felt when he was a child and had nightmares about seeing the demon? She felt her heart collapse in on itself.
"...okay..." Jun complied. She laid back down, inched towards his waiting arms and rested her head against his chest.

"Then sit and rest in my arms love. I will keep you safe." Kazuya spoke softly, wanting to reassure Jun.
"These nightmares...they won't cease..."

Perhaps it was because those memories were clouded with a young boy's naivety and idolized love for the one person in his past that showed genuine love to him, memories that were never tainted by a bitter truth. But he doubted their grandfather would have cared if Lars was legitimate or not.
"You remind me of him in quite a few ways. The drive to make the world better, that respect to others, regardless of differences." His voice was tinged with melancholy. If he could have. He'd have gladly traded places and allow Jinpachi to live in his stead. Not that either of his revivals were his choice No matter how much time passed, Kazuya will never understand what drove his "father" to such lengths for a company that would have been his regardless. Nor did he ever understand his disloyalty to his mother. So much of what Heihachi did made little sense.
"Right? Ojisan told me so many stories about our legacy. The bravery of our ancestors against the dark. Then Heihachi spat all over that and we all had to claw our way out of the abyss he made."
Lars could only question and wonder how Heihachi had strayed so far from his father’s teachings. He knew nothing of his grandmother, mostly due to a lack of effort. Aside from the family’s warrior history, Lars hadn’t been inclined to explore the rest of the tree.
“Hm,” Kazuya’s statement brought a small, melancholic smile to his brother’s face. Would he have? Being of the old ways, he wasn’t sure how fond their grandfather would have been of him considering he was Heihachi’s bastard.
“Hard to believe it only took one man to destroy a centuries old legacy.”

"Ojiisan was the most honorable and good of us all." It was rare for Kazuya to show such genuine reverence to anyone, which only spoke volumes to the strength of character that Jimpachi possessed. "He'd have loved you dearly had you the chance to meet."
Finding his brother at Jinpachi's grave was no surprise. He was one of the few Mishimas of the recent age who deserved the respect of a visit.
"I never knew him, but I always heard that Ojiisan was a good man..."

"He..is too used to the supernatural and thought you had read my mind instead of reading my expression. so pay it no attention" Kazuya shook his head, used to the devil's antics by now. "For such power. The devils are more akin to..toddlers really."
"Telepathy?...I don't." She shook her head with a look of confusion.

"I..see." Kazuya repiled, while he brushed it off as simply his own expression giving it away, his ever present devil seemed curious. "..Telepathy? We aren't so easily read." Belial's thoughts echoed in Kazuya's mind. "Hey young lady if you can hear this, sing your favourite song."
Shaking his head for a moment, Kazuya looked apologetic to Maya. "Bel..Devil believes you pocess telepathy. "
"In order to protect her from Heihachi's eyes or anyone else associated with him, this was the only action my grandfather and father had to take."

Kazuya simply nodded, before explaining. "She is..expecting me. As an arrangement made by your father." There was a pit in his stomach at the mention of his mother's lack of contact with the world. A sorrow for her. But he wouldn't voice anything just yet. Instead staying calm and collected as he followed Maya.
"I will do that..." She simply lowered her head and turned to prepare herself. Before, she stopped and turned back to him with a thin veil of concern.
"Kazumi has had very little social contact with anyone outside of our clan. There'a a chance she may not take to your presence so easily."

“I think it might be best that you remain in Yakushima. The world wants everything and everyone Mishima to be destroyed.”
"That is my intent yes." Kazuya nodded to Lars, "Not that I would blame the world considering all that our "father", Jin's devil, myself and Belial have done to it I just hope that they remember that you and Chaolan were ones running around stopping us all." What a difference a year, purfication and a lot of dirt naps does to a person.

"Then please, lead the way." Kazuya remained polite, any hint of distrust Maya might have displayed were echoed in his own expression. Before this revaluation and the other secrets the clan kept about Jun's slumber have worn his trust to a thin point.
Maya studied him a little more before granting him her services. Her father may trust himself with him but it didn't mean that she did.
"I can~"

Kazuya in turn studied the young woman his eyes, now an untainted brown. He stayed for a moment after she hd answered him.
...Just east of this place, that was were his answers lay. For a breif moment, he wanted to turn and leave. Instead he remained.
"I see..can you lead me to her?" The question came out softer then expected. Almost a whisper.
Familiar green eyes studied the Mishima, the way he stood before her, the way he looked at her. He had a darker aura around him than that Kazama boy.
"Not here..." Maya carefully answered Kazumi's son. "...she resides East of here."

"It is not your father I seek but another." Kazuya spoke to Maya, his body language was stiff, as if it was taking all his strength go through this.
"..A woman by the name of Kazumi..is she here?"
"If you seek an audience with my father, I'm afraid you've missed him."

Kazuya simply nodded numbly, willing himself to stand with Jun's help. As soon as he reached the sofa he all but collapsed into it, holding his head in his hands. At any moment he expected The Ninja to return and apologize for the sick joke played upon him.
After a while, the only movement Kazuya made was to cling to his wife, trying to hide his tears.
"Let's first get you up..." Any longer and he would mostly likely melt into the carpet. She used what strength she currently had to encourage him off of the office floor and lead him over to the sofa, where she gently sat him down.
