Solid Snake: Badass or just plain lucky?

In a world full of video game mascots and signature characters I think Solid Snake takes the helm. Why? because he's fought and survived...lets say 8 metal gears because there are so many games (excluding Big Boss games eg: Metal Gear Solid 3). Somehow he's taken on a small battalion of mechs and 12 or so supersoldiers (not all at once). How does Snake do it? What makes him so special?

I mean he's the Big Boss's genetically altered son. Still how does one man with all this combat experience take on a Cyborg Ninja. If you've played Twin Snakes (MGS1 Gamecube version) you know for a fact Greyfox was slicing his bullets in half after the first fight with Ocelot without breaking a sweat (not that cyborgs sweat...). Is Solid Snake like our video game version of Batman? Some how thru being battered and torn up he still manages to find a sliver lining that helps him conquer his obstacles. Those "OBSTACLES" sometimes being really fucking huge. (I'm talking to you Outer Haven ship from MGS4.)

Hideo Kojima (MGS Creator) has publicly stated on more than one occasion he's been trying to kill Snake for a very long time. Is it about time he does? And if he does will the story continue? God I hope Raiden doesn't take over he's gone too Robo/Zone of Enders to ever come back to the series as a stealthy inflitrator. We know that big bosses story isnt over so hopefully Kojima will take the Ground Zeroes story into the future world of MGS with Solid Snake. I dont think that MGS5 will see the return of Solid Snake. The closer we get back to Solid Snakes time the more iminante his death becomes the real question is does he succumb to his old age or is there a story arc unknown to us that will end him.

Regardless what happens I think we can all agree Snake is one of the most memorable video game characters of the last decade. I personally hope Kojima will continue to throw him into insane scenarios. Snake needs a sezu bean to rejuvenate his body from this intense case of seniortis he has. When it comes down to luck or badassery I think clearly Snake is just that badass (maybe a tad bit lucky).

Lightning Ridge Black Opal - Twin Galaxy Gem Stones

Aside from Grey and White, Black Opal is the most precious and is at least 50 times more rare than diamond, yet these beautiful gems are also much more fragile than diamond.

The brilliant colors within the gems are iridescent,  meaning that they will change color or flash as you rotate them. Deep down within the opal are silica spheres arranged in arrays and both the size and organized arrangement of the spheres will determine the color produced. The Twin Galaxy Stones will flash like lightning as you rotate them, hence the name Lightning Ridge in Australia.
