The Green Room: a little ‘jewel-box’ for guests in this NZ home.
This is a recent project I have carried out to turn what was a bland and purely functional room in the most basic sense - a loo and nothing else - has had functionality added with the Kohler basin, and the shelf from forming the undercounter cistern box, plus colour, and texture. Some art on the walls, a lovely mirror - all sourced by me and design guru Fiona Fletcher - have made this a joyful ‘smallest room’ !
Other elements include the marble tile floor; set stagger bond, with heating incorporated, the beautiful NZ made, hand-glazed tiles which were the lead inspiration of the room, Aalto paint and that luxe Zoffany material for the window-treatment.
