DINÂMICA | YOUTH from The Youth on Vimeo.
Dinâmica a #view_finder issue by YOUTH
Physics The behavior of bodies in motion and the action of forces that produce or modify their movements.
Metaphor Internal movement responsible for stimulating and evolving something.
It's strange to try to imagine how the story we live today will be told 20 or 30 years from now.
What will be the most relevant point of view?
What will be the version of the events that we will tell as the truth about the quarantine days in Brazil?
Being buried by news, images, texts, studies and all kinds of opinions, it is clear that some protagonists have already been elected as the guiding thread of this narrative. However, there are always voices that contain another way of looking at, and feeling about, everything that is happening.
Dynamics is an attempt to record history from the point of view of food deliverers in Brazil. People who even before the quarantine had a day-to-day battle against all the adversities of modern and scarce times of humanity, but now they are a part of the so-called "front line" and risk themselves through the empty streets of the city for not having another option.
* All production was done by directors Eduardo Lubiazi, João Machado and Yuri Maranhão. During the weekend, in an open garden, in front of an expressway in Curitiba. They placed orders through applications and on delivery invited professionals to take some pictures. Throughout the process, social distance was respected, hygiene equipment maintained, and the use of masks complied.

Ani Wa Sa from Novo on Vimeo.
Ani Wa Sa is set in DR Congo’s Garamba National Park which is globally recognized as ground zero in Africa’s poaching wars. Fewer than 1,200 elephants remain.
Two brothers who come from a line of central African Zande hunters, seek to protect their local forest from seemingly opposing avenues: one through family tradition and the other as part of a national park ranger team. Though their relationship has fractured, an advancing rebel group seeking to poach and traffick elephant ivory poses a mutual threat and the brothers may need each other to protect the people and wildlife of their homeland for generations to come.
Ani Wa Sa is being used in an innovative on-the-ground mobile cinema initiative to help build bridges of trust and collaboration between central African communities, conservation actors, and humanitarians, in an effort to improve the safety and build the resilience of people and wildlife in this fragile and interdependent ecosystem.
As of March 31, 2020, Invisible Children has screened Ani Wa Sa in 67 communities in northeastern DRC and eastern Central African Republic (CAR), reaching 27,450 people.
This project is part of the USAID-funded Community Resilience in Central Africa (CRCA) Activity, an Invisible Children project made possible by the support of the American people.

Tāura from Tom Peyrat on Vimeo.
Tāura is a polynesian legend. Tāura are animals, plants and minerals that are "allied" with humans, families, clans. They are considered fathers, mothers, brothers, sisters. The relationship with them is fraternal and respectful.
The last long shot was certainely one of the dive I've ever done. I was so grateful to spend so much time with the mother and her baby.
I choosed this letterbox cause it has a "vintage" look and it reminds me some really good memories. It also has the aspect (like a POV) of what I see with my mask during the dive.
All was shot in Polynesia in november 2019.

LANZAROTE | THE WONDER from L'oeil d'Eos on Vimeo.
Raw. Mineral. Bewitchingly. These three words describe perfectly the atmosphere that we could feel on Lanzarote in the Canary archipelago off the coast of Morocco. Far from the crowd that can be everywhere on Lanzarote (sometimes), we have found preserved and totally uninhabited places there. It's this side that we wanted to explore. The soul of its landscapes, of this volcanic lands, between dark rock, stormy ocean and wonderful nature.

unnamed soundsculpture (docu) from Daniel Franke on Vimeo.
Project by Daniel Franke & Cedric Kiefer
produced by: onformative.com chopchop.cc
music: The Naked and Famous - "The Sun" thenakedandfamous.com/
The basic idea of the project is built upon the consideration of creating a moving sculpture from the recorded motion data of a real person. For our work we asked a dancer to visualize a musical piece (Kreukeltape by Machinenfabriek) as closely as possible by movements of her body. She was recorded by three depth cameras (Kinect), in which the intersection of the images was later put together to a three-dimensional volume (3d point cloud), so we were able to use the collected data throughout the further process. The three-dimensional image allowed us a completely free handling of the digital camera, without limitations of the perspective. The camera also reacts to the sound and supports the physical imitation of the musical piece by the performer. She moves to a noise field, where a simple modification of the random seed can consistently create new versions of the video, each offering a different composition of the recorded performance. The multi-dimensionality of the sound sculpture is already contained in every movement of the dancer, as the camera footage allows any imaginable perspective.
The body – constant and indefinite at the same time – “bursts” the space already with its mere physicality, creating a first distinction between the self and its environment. Only the body movements create a reference to the otherwise invisible space, much like the dots bounce on the ground to give it a physical dimension. Thus, the sound-dance constellation in the video does not only simulate a purely virtual space. The complex dynamics of the body movements is also strongly self-referential. With the complex quasi-static, inconsistent forms the body is “painting”, a new reality space emerges whose simulated aesthetics goes far beyond numerical codes.
Similar to painting, a single point appears to be still very abstract, but the more points are connected to each other, the more complex and concrete the image seems. The more perfect and complex the “alternative worlds” we project (Vilém Flusser) and the closer together their point elements, the more tangible they become. A digital body, consisting of 22 000 points, thus seems so real that it comes to life again.

In On The Brink we discuss the past, present and future of connectivity with a mix of people including David Rowan, chief editor of Wired UK; Caterina Fake, founder of Flickr; and Eric Wahlforss, the co-founder of Soundcloud. Each of the interviewees discusses the emerging opportunities being enabled by technology as we enter the Networked Society. Concepts such as borderless opportunities and creativity, new open business models, and today's 'dumb society' are brought up and discussed.
