We call pacis dummies here!

I was very shocked when I first visited the US when I was 11ish and found out they're called pacifiers.

I use the term paci a lot nowadays because everyone else on Tumblr does and the adult ones are sold under the name pacifier.

But yeah,

we call 'em dummies.

Does anyone else call their pacis binkies instead? Idk if it's where I grew up but we called them binkies and now hearing or saying paci feels not right. I feel alone here 😭

I wonder if it's a dialect thing like how some people call shopping carts "buggies" language is pretty cool!
