being enclosed in sam’s arms made jess’ world settle down; time stopped and everything surrounding her faded. it was just her and him. hearing his voice made her heart skip a few beats and the warmth he radiated reminded her of the last time they were this intimate. “do i remember that night?” jessica repeated softly, chewing on her bottom lip gently. “o-of course, i do. i remember you looking up at me with fear in your eyes a-and fire..” she trailed off, the memory flashing before her eyes like a silver screened movie. jessica could feel the flames circling the ceiling and catching onto her skin, as if the whole thing had just happened. a frightened gasp left her lips as she looked up at sam, “i remember you calling my name.. over and over again. i remember our last kiss. sam, i remember everything.”
“i can only assume you remember everything. gosh, sam, i can see it in your eyes.. you’ve been through a lot. i’m so sorry, i– you shouldn’t have to go through what you did...” jessica blabbed, shaking her head as tears started to flow once more. how could she have left him like that? of course, she knew it wasn’t her fault, but seeing sam with the pain in his eyes made jess feel so guilty. “sam, what happened? dean dragged you out and.. that’s the last thing i remember. what went down after that?”
collegepartie > jess & sam.
her heart pounded, her hands became clammy, and she swore her eyesight became blurry; tears. the feel of very few warm tears dripped down her cheek, before the nimble tips of her fingers brushed them away. sam was walking towards her and all she could do was let out a choked giggle, that sounded more like a sob. quickly, she turned her head away from him so he wouldn’t see her so emotional.
that’s when everything hit her, sam’s hand on her shoulder and the feeling of her situation settled in hard and fast. jessica was with sam in a world that seemed so unreal, she swore it was a dream, maybe it was heaven— maybe she was dead. turning to face him, jessica smiled weakly at the man in front of her and let her emotions get the best of her; she stood on the tips of her toes and threw her arms around sam. “sudden, i know. sorry, i- i just can’t believe you’re here. s-sam, i thought i lost you.” the blonde stammered before standing back to look at him. “i didn’t mean to attack you like that— all i remember is seeing you looking up at me…” she trailed off, eyebrows furrowing as the memory flashed before her eyes like a nightmare.
sam had been a different person when he was with her. different from the nervous kid who had grown up wanting nothing more than to escape from the life that he was destined for – she had given him hope that he could be more than a hunter like his dad and brother, given him a taste of what that normal life and happiness could have been like. accepting it wasn’t going to happen was hard. in a way, her death had made it easier: the coffin nailed shut had let his dreams be laid down to rest with her. he’d always assumed she was at peace. of course, woodshore would ruin that.
“don’t apologize,” he reassured her, arms wrapping tightly around her much smaller frame, squeezing her a little tighter than he intended. tears burned at the rim of his eyes, but sam didn’t allow them to fall past, sucking in a deep breath through his nose and attempting to stifle the emotion that swelled inside of him. “you…” he didn’t know what to say, pausing and wetting his lips. “hey, it’s okay. it’s okay.” god, she looked so young. maybe not as young as the last time he’d seen her, but she hadn’t aged like he had. “you uh, you remember that night?”

collegepartie > jess & sam.
fire. the stench of burning wood. sam, gazing up at her on the ceiling with pure fear.
it was all she could remember about the night she died— or, when she should have died. before the flames could eat her up alive and after her boyfriend’s brother dragged him out of the room, jessica was faced with a new fate; woodshore. a new life full of greatness and opportunity. though, none of that really mattered to her— all she wanted was to finish her education and find the love of her life.
it had been less than twenty four hours since jess’ arrival and she had already made herself a home and gotten back into the med school game. as of right now, in the cool night air blowing through the open windows of a bar, the blonde was content with her new life. she wanted to leave everything else in the past and move forward. however, that couldn’t happen just quite yet.
with wandering blue eyes taking in the new sights she would call her community, jessica blinked twice, furrowed her brows, and her jaw slightly dropped when she saw it— him. sam. he looked different; leaner, manlier, and his hair had gotten longer. jess thought that she would never see him again, though she was promised with the fortune of reuniting with him, the blonde had her doubts— until now.
jessica wasn’t sure what to do. should she get up and approach him? continue to gawk at him? leave? no, she couldn’t. now that he was in her sights, she had to do something— being speechless and staring at sam was the option that she favored.
for a moment, all he could do is stand there and stare back at her, debating with himself if she was as real as she looked. he’d had vivid hallucinations in the best, struggled to differentiate reality from the makings of his mind. why would this be any different? she had been dead for such a long time. there was no reason for her to be here, now? but maybe woodshore was the unique factor that made it possible for her to be here after all of this time. impossible and weird seemed to be the crucifix of this place.
with his heart still pounding in his chest, sam took another step closer to her, half expecting her to disappear at any given moment. but she didn’t. she was there and speaking, recognizing him, recognizing that this situation was impossible. his tongue darted out and wet his lips, trying to bring his heart rate back down again. if she remembered that night, anything that had happened from it… he had thought that keeping her in the dark would keep her safe from the life that he had tried so desperately to keep her safe from. he would have never thought that it would have all gone down the way it had.
sam knew that he couldn’t just stand there and do nothing. he swallowed the lump in his throat, slowly moving across the bar toward her. very gently, he touched the back of her shoulder, in part to confirm that she was real. “jessica?”

“ yeah, it really is. hiking on a day like this is definitely worth the sunburn and pit stains. ” the blonde grinned at the man in front of her, squinting at him through the sun in her eyes.
“ have you been out here for long? i would love to have a buddy to keep me company on the trail.. ” she spoke, before reaching her hand out to the man, “ i’m jessica— jess for short. it’s nice to finally meet a fellow hiker like me. ” jessica added, taking in the male’s features; muscular body, short cropped hair and nice eyes— definitely reminded her of someone she used to know.

sighing, steve pushed himself up to a stand again from where he was leaning on the railing of the front porch of his house. the place he lived now in arwen properties was nice, out in the woods and quiet, but it really didn’t change much. truthfully, it just left him more alone with his thoughts. he turned to head inside before he paused when he heard someone, assuming they were just a hiker out in the woods. “nice day out, even if it’s hot,” he greeted before he turned around. he assumed that maybe they’d keep walking, but anything to just fill the silence.

“ here, let me help.. ” the blonde spoke in a calm, hushed tone. the young woman had been sitting a few chairs away from the redhead, studying for an upcoming exam— med school, the grind that never stops. the blonde grabbed a few napkins from her jean pocket and quickly unfolded them, setting the thin sheet over the spilled drink. “ don’t worry about it, by the way. the whole coffee thing has happened to me way too many times. ” she grinned, reminiscing quietly on her first two years of college. “ i’m jessica— or jess — by the way. just thought you’d like to know, maybe. ”
the table has become her temporary desk, since the library doesn’t offer the regular caffeine fix she needs. papers are splayed out across the surface, two thick tomes spread among them, as she jots notes in the margins. she’s distracted - her mind focused on the cool brilliance of artemis’ cruelty in this particular script - as she reaches for her cup and instead knocks it with her hand. latte splashes out across the closest pages, panic setting in her features. “crap, crap, no-” lydia starts, jumping to her feet.

❝ you can’t run from yourself. ❞
from what point in your characters canon are they taken from?
jessica was taken from season one of the cw’s supernatural. in her last episode / appearance, she was on the ceiling above her boyfriend, sam winchester, with flames surrounding her.
gender/pronouns:
jessica is a cisgender female and definitely shows her femininity off, whether it’s dressing up for halloween, going out with friends from med school, etcetera.
anything else you’d like to add!
lyrics that resonate with jess’s canon life /
reminds admin of her:
“ where will you be waking up tomorrow morning? ”
“ party in your nightgown. ”
“ burn everything you love, then burn the ashes. ”
“ the last thing i heard was you whispering goodbye...”
“ same lips red, same eyes blue. same white shirt, couple more tattoos. ”
“ she looks so perfect standing there in my american apparel underwear. ”
“ and i got that red lip, classic thing that you like. ”
“ workin’ hard to get my fill, everybody wants a thrill. ”
