PR Series, 20 Before heading to Puerto Rico I wanted to document every area I could that’s still far behind rebuilding. We can easily forget, you know? 8 months have passed since Hurricane Maria and there’s more work to do. My folks and I arrived a day after the electricity went out (locals say it can happen often). Thankfully, it didn’t affect us. I longed to venture out; connect with people, the rainforest and east, west, north south of the Island, though I didn’t realized PR is HUGE. With time restraints and some areas off limits, I decided to simply capture the people around me, my fam and the historical landmarks on the island, (the forts you see date back to the 1500s). Clean water and a strong infrastructure for electricity are just a few of the necessities to support PR.
