In early 2017 Kerry was diagnosed with having a huge brain tumour behind her eye reaching from her lower cheek to her temple. The tumour must have been growing for 20+ years but a growth spurt in her tumour saw that her eye ball was popping out of her eye socket. This led her on a traumatic and difficult journey of surgery and rehabilitation. Kerry’s friend Annie Nolan had a pet rat who underwent the same surgery and she cheered Kerry up with this meme.
