Their head tilts forward slightly in curiosity, smile still on their face.

🌱: I like 'ta ask 'ta make sure of somethin'. Feel free 'ta not answer that question.

The lady in a Red Suit and Villain hat, previously focused on practing the Slash of Tix, almost dropped both the Sword and Slingshot along with the pellet as she noticed them.

She quickly recomposed, going back to her more serious-ish stance. She noticeably took a few seconds to settle on her first words.

"Been a while since I last saw a fellow initiate."

There's a pause from where the other looks up, a polishing cloth paused at the edge of his katana.

There's a long, awkward pause before that shocked expression becomes one of friendly welcoming.

They stand up, adjusting their cap with a wide smile.

🌱: Th' name's Sprout! Can I ask f'yours?

They look around with a concerning lack of concern.

🌱: I'm technically an'entity, just not from 'ere. I'll let ya' keep y' job, don't worry!

...Aaaanother pause.

🌱: Anything else y' are allowed ta' tall me, though? Don't wanna walk on in unprepared, ya'know?

🌱: Testin' testin'... one two three... I have a bazooka...

Quiet giggles.

🌱: I kid, I kid! Where am I.

`Wha-? Whatever.` [was his reaction to the first bit]

`What do you mean where are you? How do you not know where you are?`

🌱: Heya there! Yeah, 'm new!

He stops where he stands, letting Taph close the distance. They seem to be humanoid, but their head is... very round. Huh.

🌱: Oh- are 'ya-?

There's a few hesitant movements, but they bring their hands up to sign.

🌱: [I'm new! Hi there!]

Another pause.

🌱: [Can I ask what's going on? Here?]

🌱: I-I- oh! Hey there! How- where?

There's a brief pause as a figure in the distance waves frantically, soft green shirt nearly blending in with the surrounding foliage.

🌱: Hey! Hey! Over here!

[ Taph had been doing.. whatever she had been doing, sitting and messing with his tripwire before the figure made their presence known.. ] [huh. ok then. Taph stood, shoving her wire back into a pocket as he made her way over. ] [ ' Hi! I have not seen you before ? Are you new ? ' ] [ He signed, slowly.. ]

A strong gravitational force pulls his head from your hands, returning it to floating on top of where his neck should be.

🌱: Heya! Ask a guy next time, ya'?

They shrug, their lack of concern... concerning.

🌱: Ya' seem... distracted- I mean obviously y' are, what with what's goin' on and all- ah, ignore me. I'm prolly intruding on ya' business, sorry 'bout that.

🌱: Heya there! Mind havin' another new face show up?

It was quite a peculiar figure, a floating head hovering over a soft green sweater, a smile on their face.

🌱: 'm new. Care ta' tell me what's goin'on? Everyone else has... been real cagey...

Chance seemed to be zoning out, must be thinking of something. He's been real outta the loop with everything going on recently, only really paying attention to his partner.

"Are y' asking for what's going on recently or just the general gist o' things?"
