“For us to know more about the place we are visiting- its culture, practices and traditions, we should at least visit its museum.” -Marvs
Museum became a mirror to see the history of a place. That’s why museums are on the top list of must go places for those people who have wanderlust. Most of the museums in our place are likely limited in the way that most of it is really far and some can cost you for some hundreds of peso. Considering our place which is Valenzuela City, it’s amazing to know that our city has its own museum which most of us didn’t know about.
Just recently, we visited the Valenzuela City Museum to see how it goes. This Museum is just for free so for anyone who wants to know how Valenzuela City emerged, this is a must-go place. It is located inside Legislative Building in the City Government Complex of Valenzuela. Upon entering the Museum, there are many things that we’ve seen and here’s our thoughts:
1. “It’s Informative!” Of course all museum where built not only to entertain but first and foremost to educate people about a certain topic. One thing that we’ve observed is that the events shown in there is chronologically arrange where it start from the pre-colonial up to the modern era. All the information given where brief but full of ideas. Everything inside the museum has it’s description showing us how informative this place is.

2. “The historical things and the displays kept secured and well conditioned! There are things that was exhibited in the museum that shows how they were preserved these things that made something in our history. One this is the “Gilingan ng bato”. Also the important things in it were secured by glasses or signages to warn the guests that it shouldn’t be touched, which is one of their way of preserving it.

3. “~Real na real~” The museum has an authenticity regarding with the content of every objects and informations that they have provided. They show evidences through displaying products, pictures and fossils. The histories of each objects are also shown properly and organized. The authenticity is also seen in the images and statues of some popular personalities that they have been created to see their true stories.

4. “Well that’s innovation!” Our technology continues to innovate and so as this museum is. One thing that will prove how it follows to innovate are the Television screens in one of its place where it shows some presentations about the Valenzuelanos who became notable individuals. Also the museum offers a presentation using a projector but sadly it’s not operating when we visited. Also there is a smoke warning alarm that may help people if something happens inside.

5. “Amazing Design!” The museum offers a minimalistic look which is a great factor why it became pleasing to the eyes. Also we can see how clean this museum is which is normal in most of the museums. The colors are attractive since most of the pictures are digitally created. The lightings on it are bright that we think kind of stimulates our brain to accept the information in there. But the some parts of it is covered with a dim light that adds elegance and formality to its features.

6. “Chill! Seat back and relax!” We all want our visit in museums to be an enjoyable trip and also a comfortable one. The museum is fully air-conditioned which is a woah since it’s only free. Also there are chairs in it if you become tired of absorbing this rich- information place. Having said that all, this proves how this museum is really a comfortable place to visit in.

7. “I need space!” We all need space. We want a spacious museum to visit in. The museum is honestly small, but they still manage to have a spacious place so that many people can visit it at the same time or people can focus on appreciating the beauty of our history.

8. “~I’m just a little bit caught in the middle~” In terms of security, there is only one person that handles the whole place. He is the one that observed people and tells them what they shouldn’t do. Well given that Valenzuelanos are really disciplined, still they should manage to add more of them for the exhibits to be secured and also to the people enjoying their visit.

9. “ Where’s the map?” Dont worry folks, you wont be needing a map to travel the museum. The museum can be reach easily since it’s just on the Municipal building of Valenzuela. Also, just like what we’ve said, it is completely free. The museum is open from 8:00 am up to 5:00 pm.

10.“How convenient is it?” The museum is located near most schools in Valenzuela just like Malinta National High school, Valenzuela City School of Mathematics and Science High School, Our lady of Fatima, and of course, Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Valenzuela! It is very convenient for the students to go for a visit if they want to and when they need to. Like doing it as a requirement or a project😁. Another is, it is located right behind a park ( Valenzuela people’s park) where many people stay to hang around. The museum is a good place to spend some time, aside from its ventilation is well placed, it is full of information that will benefit us as Valenzuelanos.
So to sum it all up, the Valenzuela City Museum is a small but great museum given the things that we consider. As we visit the Valenzuela City Museum, we found it as a helpful tool not only for students but for all valenzuelanos to see how Valenzuela goes through the years. Let us all witness how it was, how is it going and what would it be in the future generations. So try to visit this wonderful museum because you’ll surely enjoy this ride!😁
That’s all folks~ -Drw and Elai
