Comet moved closer to their window, the sound of water dripping from the overhang on the balcony of their apartment calmed them.

I personally love the rain more than I love the sun! It doesn’t hurt my ‘eyes’ yes sun can still hurt the blind, but the rain is cooling. A feel of ice over my optics to shield the already broken from unforgiving weather. :]
