Nike Readies "Hemp" Takes on the Blazer Mid and Air Force 1 Low
Nike (NYSE:NKE +2.62%) has revealed reworked versions of its staple Air Force 1 and Blazer Mid silhouettes in colorful “Hemp” uppers as part of its “Move to Zero” series.
The Air Force 1 is offered in fully knitted uppers in an assortment of orange, green, blue, and lime-colored panels. The rear tab features cursive Nike embroidery, and the tongue tab displays the iconic swoosh accompanied by subtle “HEMP” text. Insoles come in bright green with “Move to Zero” insignias, and white speckled sole units complete the pairs.
The upcoming Nike Blazer Mid takes a more subdued approach with white knit uppers, “Barley” overlays on the forefoot and an orange heel tab. Embroidery accents appear on the eyelets and rear, while a blue swoosh is painted along the laterals. Similar Nike branding accents are continued from the aforementioned Air Force 1, and the tongue tab maintains an exposed foam finish. A speckled Nike Grind rubber sole unit rounds out the look.
Take a look at the official photos above, and expect the Nike Air Force 1 and Nike Blazer Mid “Hemp” to arrive at Nike’s website and select retailers in the coming weeks.
Elsewhere in footwear, Nike adds “Orange” and “Barley” colorways to its Dunk Low “Paisley Pack.”

PATTA’S TEAM EXPLAINS WHY IT'S THE PERFECT TIME FOR ANOTHER AIR MAX 1
Patta and Nike Air Max 1s just work. It’s an unwritten rule. The legendary Amsterdam retailer/brand/sound system/community powerhouse has a long and storied history with the silhouette, which is why it was a no-brainer when the Swoosh tapped Patta for another collaborative effort ahead of the model’s 35th anniversary in 2022.
Patta’s wavy Air Max 1 has dropped in one colorway already, with another officially on the way, and a third being leaked online. This project marks the 5th time Patta has collaborated on the Air Max 1, cementing its status as the sneaker world’s leading Air Max 1 collaborator.
“Patta and the Air Max 1 have a long-term relationship. And it’s a very strong one if you look back in time,” says Vincent van de Waal, Patta’s creative director. “The Air Max 1 is really iconic in Europe, perhaps more so here than in other parts of the world.”
That popularity of the sneaker — and its appreciation within the subcultures that Patta authentically and effortlessly moves in — set the stage for a potent pairing. Patta’s famous motto that it has “got love for all” rings especially true when you realize that the Air Max 1 is the sneaker of the people in a lot of cities in the world, but especially in Amsterdam.
“In Amsterdam, the Air Max 1 became a game-changer through hip-hop,” explains Tim Sabajo, Patta’s general manager. “Music-wise, the city loved house and hip-hop. And both of those communities loved to pair the shoes with a tracksuit. When house blew up, they were more into the Air Max B/W, but it all started with the Air Max 1.”
Hip-hop is the start of the Air Max journey for many Dutch sneakerheads, which is why the sneaker holds a special place in Patta’s heart. Even after other European cities adopted subsequent Air Max models — such as the Air Max 95 in London and the Air Max 97 in Milan — for Patta and Amsterdam, the shoe will always be synonymous with hip-hop and the subcultures the genre has spawned.
Hip-hop being a catalyst for a sneaker permeating popular culture is nothing new. In fact, Sabajo likens the Air Max 1’s rise through the genre in Amsterdam to the Air Force 1’s rise in New York. “In the beginning, you had Clydes and Shell Toes, and then you got into the more expensive New Balances and Nike shoes,” he says. “Then, all of a sudden, it becomes a flashy commodity. It becomes more than a shoe. It’s fashion.”

Familia's Nike Dunk Low Pro SB "First Ave" Closes Out This Year's Dunk Releases
Familia‘s highly anticipated Nike (NYSE:NKE -2.52%) Dunk Low Pro SB “First Ave” has officially received a release date. The Minneapolis-based skate shop’s new release will be the final Nike Dunk to be released in 2021, closing out a massively popular year for the silhouette. The pairs were first teased in June earlier this year but were rumored to have received a cease and desist order for reasons that are still unknown.
The upcoming pairs pay homage to the legendary First Avenue nightclub in Minneapolis, a concert hall that recently celebrated its 50th anniversary. The venue is a cornerstone of music culture in the city and was most notably the setting for the final scene of Purple Rain. It was said Prince performed at First Avenue so often, that many of his fans thought he owned the club.
The black nubuck uppers reference the star-spangled cinderblock exterior of the nightclub featuring star perforations on the toebox, brick detailing on the dark purple collar overlays, and a large star embroidered on the lateral heel. The toe and eyestay overlays are dressed in reflective dark purple leathers with wear-away paint highlights, and laces come in bright purple. The interiors of the shoe are lined in velvet materials, and insoles feature Familia x Nike SB co-branding on the zoom-air insole heel and a 50th-anniversary vintage-style ticket stub graphic on the midfoot. Below, a black midsole and a semi-translucent outsole displaying all-over graphics of the famous stars complete the upcoming pairs.
The Familia x Nike Dunk Low Pro SB “First Ave” will officially release on December 11 at select skate shops. Take a look at David Bluetile’s detailed breakdown above.

The First Louis Vuitton x Nike Air Force 1 Sold For Over $350,000 at Auction
Last month the news that the extremely-sought-after Louis Vuitton x Nike Air Force 1 (designed by the late and great Virgil Abloh) would be available exclusively via auction at Sotheby’s broke, sending plenty of sneakerheads into an instant frenzy. While many were bummed at the fact these would be seemingly unattainable, the good news is that the concept of the auction was to raise funds for Virgil’s scholarship fund for black fashion students. Earlier this week the auctions began to draw to a close, with most pairs hitting around the $100,000 mark.
Although the very first pair (Lot 1, in a US5) ended up selling for a considerable amount more. With the highest bid coming in at $352,800, these are easily one of the most expensive pairs of kicks to have sold in recent times, meaning that there’s going to be one hell of an amount going to charity! If you’re still eyeing up this high-end collaboration then you better be coming correct with some deep pockets, as there’s still no news on a wider release! Make sure to keep it locked in right here at The Sole Supplier for all the latest sneaker news and updates and while you’re here, check out the Nike SB Dunk High “New York Mets”!

Nike SB's New Dunk High Honors the "New York Mets"
Succeeding the debut of its collaboration hiking boot-inspired sneaker with PASS~PORT, Nike (NYSE:NKE -0.98%) SB looks to bring out the Dunk High in a series of MLB colorways, starting off with a “Mets” throwback palette. The sportswear powerhouse’ skateboarding line first previewed a Dunk Low in a Philadelphia Phillies color scheme based on the team’s sky blue and maroon uniforms from the ’80s.
Instagram page Solebyjc has blessed us with teaser images of the latest hi-top edition outfitted in the baseball team’s gray away games uniform. Light gray padded mesh builds out the base as matching fuzzy suede overlays wrap around the shoe while the laces prefer a blue-toned gray hue. The Mets’ signature blue and orange detail the sockliner, tongue tab, and main lateral Swoosh in a stitched outline manner to resemble jersey patches.
Over on the backside of the tongues feature a purple circle with the number seven to indicate the 7-train connecting Willets Point Blvd. station to both Flushing Main St. and Hudson Yards. On the right foot, a red apple with the Mets skyline logo reads “Home Run” to represent the home stadium’s giant apple that appears when a player taps all the bases after hitting a no-doubter. A white midsole rounds out the look with a gum outsole hit with a touch of pink at the heel.
Further information on the Nike SB Dunk High “New York Mets” has yet to be announced in the coming weeks, but will likely release this year via Nike.
In case you missed it, Nike revealed an Air Max 95 “Air Sprung” made using recycled materials.

Official Images Of The Nike Dunk Low “SiEMPRE Familia”
Over the past two decades, NIKE, Inc. has released product to commemorate special occasions observed by cultures across the globe. For its Nike Dunk Low “SiEMPRE Familia” proposition, the North American institution takes a trip to Mexico ahead of Día de los Muertos. Clad in a mix of muted green and vibrant citrus tones, the upcoming Nike Dunk boasts one of the most ornate arrangements from the brand’s recent slew of offerings. Reptile-inspired leather takes over both the base and superimposed layers throughout the upper, with the profile swooshes introducing a contrasting blue. An iguana-like graphic appears on the lateral heel, suggesting the surroundings have been inspired by it. Underfoot, the low-top sneakers forgo their statement-making color palette for a much more reserved color palette, although outsoles indulge in semi-translucent, icy blue finish. The collection’s “SiEMPRE Familia” (“Always Family) name appears on the left shoe’s sock-liner, as well as on the shoebox. Enjoy official images of the pair here below, and anticipate a Nike SNKRS launch soon.
