okay!!  i’m gonna move tilly back to my multi bc i’m just??  not doin’ well at maintaining multiple blogs between just not feeling well in general,  and the fact that i’m still learning what sensory things are tricky for me to handle,  so life’s been a little overwhelming lately.  in order to better maintain my mental health and everything,  i think this is the best move for me,  so hmu @galaxyraised​!! if you’re interested in keeping threads we have going here,  let me know,  i’m happy to move any!!

LIPS PRESS TOGETHER,  head tilting to the side as a battle wages within regarding whether to allow a comment to slip out.  and in the end?  the urge to speak wins by a longshot   (   it seems she simply can’t help herself !   ),   ❛   doctor,  you sure GRUMBLE about space a lot for somebody who’s signed up for a life spent among the stars,   ❜   maybe it’s none of her business,  but curiosity is the driving force behind why they’re in space at all,  isn’t it?   ❛   i find that very INTERESTING.  why don’t you just request an assignment that’s not in space?   ❜

SHE TRIES NOT TO LOOK TOO AWESTRUCK,  but it’s pretty difficult,  sitting in the sickbay of an entirely unfamiliar ship.  it’s federation,  of course,  that’s already been established,  but nothing  ----  from the layout,  to the uniforms worn by the crew  ----  is at all familiar.  the line between awestruck and anxious is a thin one,  and fingers drumming on her thighs is an indication of such   (   though the moment sylvia notes herself doing so,  hands curl into loose fists   ).   eyes drift from the sickbay itself to the doctor who’s closest,   ❛   i really don’t know how i got here,   ❜   she repeats for what feels like the THOUSANDTH time,  a need to fill the heavy silence seeming like an imperative,   ❛   i’m not lying about that.  but i do understand the need for caution,  i mean,  for all you and your captain know,  i could be anybody!  i don’t expect you to believe me immediately.   ❜   the need for security is one thing that’s clear enough,  especially with a full blown WAR raging back where she comes from   (   even though she has no idea the state of things on this ship,  in THIS time   )   ----  speaking of....   ❛   TIME TRAVEL sounds so bizarre,  doesn’t it?  so hard to wrap your head around!  it kind of gives me a headache just to think about it,   ❜

❛   CAPTAIN LORCA,  SIR!   ❜   posture straightens ever so slightly,  and despite all attempts,  the EAGER cadet finds a wide smile overtaking her features,   ❛   i just wanted to let you know how THRILLED i am to be serving aboard the discovery,  it’s  ----  it’s a DREAM first assignment,  and i know that i’m young and all,  but i promise i’m not gonna let you down.  i’m definitely up for the job,  even with the circumstances that prompted of the commissioning of the ship,  sir,   ❜   it still feels ODD saying the word ‘war’,  as if simply saying it makes it more real.
