Family Portrait Recently, Tony S. Daniel has tweeted an unused page (26 April 2020) that he had done for Detective Comics #1000 (top). Fourteen members of the Bat Family has been depicted – well thirteen members and a dog, just arranged differently. While I like the arraignment of the unpublished pages slightlyy better, I like the close up focus of the published pages better – it seems more intimate – more like a family portrait. Image Source:

“So... You went to college together?” Ivy attempted interaction. “I’m sure she was a bit of a shock, then—“

Harley sat back from the interaction, using what little self control she had to stay out of their conversation, since... She wanted to see how they interacted. Of course, even if they didn’t get along too well, that wouldn’t stop her (exhibit A; Ivy and Joker despised each other), but.... She hoped they’d get along. Ivy could use another human she didn’t mind, and, frankly, two supervillains liking her would keep Barb safer if they started interacting regularly. That’s what she was thinking, anyways. Harley knew damn well how dangerous it could be to interact with supervillains when you weren’t one, after all; between her own backstory and Jess, she had learned that well enough.

(Fire’ll happen my next post if you don’t cause it btw)

Barb smiled, still petting the hyenas. "...Hey, do you wanna go get something to eat?" She asked, looking up at Harley with a small head tilt. "I imagine the food in Arkham isn't great..."
