Some ideas
Through observing discussions and engaging with philosophical and political topics, I have come to some conclusions. I would like to share the following advice with my fellow humans:
Every individual views the world through their own lens. Listen to people with different opinions than yours because their words may contain a certain degree of wisdom and truth (even if that degree may be quite small in some cases). The fact that in over two thousand years of philosophy and science, hardly any great thinker has agreed with another on all points, suggests that it would be reasonable to assume that practically no person or group of people possesses the entire objective truth (regardless of whether such a truth exists).
One should develop an awareness of the difference between the terms "complicated" and "complex." Every problem or system is to some extent complicated and to some extent complex. The more complex a problem is, the harder it is to find a solution. Anyone concerned about solving problems like climate change, poverty, injustice, etc., should familiarize themselves with the concept of "wicked problems."
Do not judge a person in a political discussion based on whether they identify as liberal, libertarian, progressive, conservative, socialist, communist, capitalist, anarchistic, or any other label, but rather on how they form their opinions, how they advocate for their views, and how they criticise the opinions of others.
