The name's Shizumi Kiryu, but I'd prefer if you address me as Methis. But that doesn't mean anything to you, does it? Of course, you're welcome to ask. [[TWEWY OC rp blog, though it has expanded into a lot more fandoms.]] __________________________ #my art #me #starter #munstuff

Hi guys, I have news.
I'm putting Methis on an indefinite hiatus.
It has come to my attention that OCs are generally much less well-received in the tumblr RPing community than canon characters. Methis' activity has been stagnating, and since my school year is also getting more strenuos, I'm afraid I'll have to close her down.
I'm not deleting her blog, though, since I'm keeping it for memories' sake.
You can still contact me at either my personal, or my two other RP blogs (Dave Strider of Homestuck, or Marth of Fire Emblem).
It's been a really fun time interacting with you guys. :) Thanks for the time.

"Yes, that will be all. Unless, of course, another megawitch chooses to show itself." Methis said plainly. if her sources were correct, Walpurgis only appeared rarely. She wouldn't have to deal with it again for quite some time.
"Very well." She nodded. "You seem to be a senior Puella Magi. Mind sharing with me what you know about it?"
She raised a brow ever so slightly, barely showing her curiosity at this stranger. “I see… so if you manage to destroy it, will that be all? Do you plan to simply leave after it has been destroyed?”
Homura frowned, she knew this figure could not be fully trusted, and that she should prepare for if they have a more sinister purpose. “I shall assist in destroying Walpurgis. I am not about to let the fate of this city rest in your hands alone.”

"Alright!" Methis exclaimed excitedly. Sounds like the plan would be executed, after all. "We'd need an empty dream bubble - but with the sheer multitude of them, it wouldn't be a problem. I could go out and look for one, then open a portal back so you can come in. That fine with you?"
A pause. "After we're done, I guess we'd need to invite people to come too. Now, how'd we go around to do that...?"
A Halloweeen Haunting
Aranea rubbed her chin at the explanation. So it was a holiday. She figured she had all the time in of paradox space for some fun for once. She pushed the issue aside of what to wear, that was trivial for now. Aranea reveled in organization and she was going to be the absolutely greatest party planner in all of paradox space. Of course, she had never really been invited to a party before…
The Scorpio clasped her hands together and nodded vigorously. “Well, I suppose we could have a little fun. I’ve been bored and I haven’t been making an progressive in my work. I’ll see if I can make room in my schedule for this upcoming human holiday. Sounds like quite a tradition, I’m a little excited myself.” She crouched to the shelves on her stand, pulled out a beaten and worn out agenda and scribbled a few notes.
The first step was to find a vacant bubble. No big deal, Aranea hoped.

Okay, so apparently not.
"It's a human festival! It usually occurs on the 31st of October in our calendar. Traditionally it has been a ghost festival, though nowadays we celebrate by dressing up and having fun."
Now, your plan. "Another prominent part of our celebrations is the construction of a place called a Haunted House. As the name would suggest, it's supposed to be a frightening place, but the outcome of the House is usually to let the people who go in have some fun."
"I think we should host one!"
A Halloweeen Haunting
Halloween? The word reverberated in Aranea’s think pan.
Sometimes, when she was bored, she’d trawl the human internet to get a grip on human customs. She had a firm grasp on their etiquette but not really of their culture, since she hadn’t found it crucial to her knowledge. A look of confusion crossed her face as she attempted to search her mind for the topic.
“I… really haven’t known of it. What is this Halloween?”

"Hey, Aranea!" So, there she was. Hm. Methis broke off into a trot, reaching the other girl's side in a few moments. "Still busy with the stand, I see." It was a habit of Aranea's - while Methis did not disapprove of it, her habit of giving things away was still rather... taxing on her wallet.
And it was amusing.
"Have you got any plans for these few days? I've got a great idea for Halloween." Given Aranea's knowledge of human customs, surely she would know what this was about?
A Halloweeen Haunting
Aranea sat by her booth, tempted to to take a break and wonder off somewhere with actually dead beings to talk to. She was frustrated over the lack of customers lately. While it’s a bad habit of giving away money for the sake of expelling her urge to explain, addiction was a powerful thing.
She got up from her metal chair and stretched her idle limbs. Out of a corner of her eye, she spotted a girl. It was Methis, wandering around. With glee, she approached her.

A Halloweeen Haunting
Methis yawned.
It was a good period of relaxation for her - the wanderlust seemed to have temporarily ditched her these few days. A good-earned rest after fighting so many demons, she supposed.
Dropping into Aranea's dream bubble was her idea, definitely. And so was this second proposal that she was about to make.
Hmmm, when'll she be turning up?

Methis released the spell. "Alright then. I'll prepare the portal. Would you like to bring anything from here? I have food and other basic necessities stored over at the other side, so they wouldn't be a problem."
A void blinked into existence beside her, rapidly expanding into a swirling portal framed by crackles of dark red energy. On the other side of the portal was a backstreet of Varrock - it was morning, early enough so that not many people would be around. "Now then, I'll have to go first to get that potion for you. Which means you'll have to stay around where the portal opens to. Try not to get out - we don't want anyone to see you."
Somewhere in him the coatl did indeed have the focus to learn, however he was simply too excited to show it or care really. When her fingers snapped and he suddenly found himself unable to move he almost panicked, but realized this must the magic she spoke of. It bewildered him, how simple the action was and yet how much power it held over his physical strength.
He snaps out of his stupor as her tone grows serious. A disguise, human traits? Davesprite had always wondered, even if only a little, what it would feel like to have legs. “Yeah, that might be a bit easier on me, not so used to legs so my wings could give a little boost.” He says, stabling his excitement as much as he could.

"Tyrant?" Methis snorted. "That's new. Pretty refreshing. Curious title, at that."
She mentally examined this... Entity. He is strong, very much so, stronger than almost everything else she had ever encountered. So full of Chaos energy that she was surprised he hadn't destroyed the surrounding space yet. And yet, he was not responsible for the overall distortion of the Furthest Ring.
Perhaps then, he is a Type Two entity, like herself. An entity with its Chaos bound and constricted, no longer the master but a servant of the host's will. If that was the case, it would make her job much easier.
"I already know you're a demon, so don't worry about that. What I am not aware of, however, is whether you actually know that you are a Chaos Entity. Like me."
Straight to the point this time.
You have a job. A Duty. And even if you’re free of their shackles, you enjoy this part of your job to some extent and of course, the bonuses when it came to Devouring a strong soul. Lately though, there’s been quite an abundance of said souls, each of them amplifying your power level slowly. This was the part where you would indulge in the overly used meme but now wasn’t the time.
That’s when you felt the shift in space. An intruder upon your domain. A trespasser onto your Garden. Whatever. As long as whatever it is didn’t mess up the dreambubbles and you, you’ll ignore it and hope it’ll come to pass. But no, whatever it was had to wander around like an annoying bug.
…She had the most annoying presence you have ever felt. You turn around, eyes hidden behind dark shades as you stare at her apathetically.
…And what can I do for one such as yourself. Not many would search for a Tyrant willingly.

Methis tactfully evaded the first question. "Its demise is all that I seek. Grief Seeds no longer have any use to me."
"Now then, since you are already here, would you like to help me?"
“I see… so you wish to match Walpurgis in it’s level of destruction? Will you destroy this city in your endeavors? Do know that I cannot allow this battle to occur without my presence. I shall see how you fair against it, but I shall be prepared in the event that it does prove to be too much. Tell me though… you claim you are a hunter… do you wish to claim a trophy? Are you intending on taking it’s grief seed? Is it’s destruction all that you seek?”

This place was strange, to say the least.
The Furthest Ring was host to a myriad of Dream Bubbles, according to Aranea. The bubbles were fine on their own, but outside - it was much more terrible.
Methis would ordinarily be unfazed by these things. She had been through her share of mortally perilous situations, so much that her sense of danger had been significantly impaired. But this time, she wasn't aimlessly looking for adventure. She was tracking someone. Someone potentially dangerous. A type of creature like her.
It didn't help that paradox space twisted itself over and over in this kind of place. Even though she was flying in a straight line, her mental coordinates kept signalling turns here and there.
There was a surprising lack of intel on the guy she was tracking - but what she could find, along with what she could perceive, indicate a bound Entity. Someone who was, indeed, very much like her. Perhaps this time, her job would be easier.
Ah, there he was.
"Dirk, was it?" Okay, so much for a good first impression. "I'm looking for you."

I don't, unfortunately. Before I go apprehend this guy, I'd best do some reading up and research.
Hmmm, if the Entity is a parasite, that's easy. I'll just lure it out and destroy it. However, if the Entity is the person itself, then I'll see if I can de-glitch him. If not, then I'll try to see if I can seal the Chaos energy into a passive state. If that's not possible either, I might have to... eradicate him. It's very unfortunate, and I really hope I don't have to resort to that.
Though I don't think I'd have to go to that extreme. My tracers indicate a tendency towards the second case.
I see. Do you know as how he 8roke the rules of the universe? And how exactly do you exorcise these people?

To put it simply, he is, or is being infected by, a Chaos Entity. They usually latch onto people who have broken the 'rules' of their universe, or such people become Entities themselves. Whatever guise they take, their main purpose, whether intentional or not, is to destroy their timeline. Think of it as fungi on a tree, where the fungus is the Entity, and the tree is the timeline or universe.
I hunt these Entities, and exorcise them from their hosts before they can do too much damage. However, I myself aren't too powerful, so unfortunately for some cases I can't do anything. :(
I'm planning to go check it out, and see if there's anything I can do about it.
composedantithesis replied to your photo: composedantithesis: 8ossy: What adventures…
More of, like, he IS the glitch.
How so? The idea isn’t new to me 8ut you mean he’s some how a glitch in the timelines?

Well, my tracer signatures have picked up an extremely strong glitch signal from one of the timelines. I'm on my way to investigate.

"Ah, but you are making several assumptions here." Methis smirked. "First, you assume I am going to fight it as a Puella Magi. That is wrong. Secondly, you assume that I am not well-equipped with information. Of course I am. Although it may be my first time facing this Witch, I will use a strategy that guarantees success." She retrieved a small coin from her pocket. "After all, I do fight fire with fire."
Homura frowned. This entity claimed to wish to rid the world of Walpurgis? They are… a hunter? “You wish to destroy Walpurgis? What makes you certain that you can succeed. Walpurgis rarely appears for long… and it destroys all in its wake. If you wish to fight it, I guarantee you will be unable to defeat it. I have tried countless times. I do not know the world which you are from… but there can be no way that you may be prepared to face such a foe.”
