Brittany says...
"I completely agree with Aina about how daunting the assignment seemed in the beginning. Now, I am so proud of how we have both become more confident in our coding abilities. Neither of us had ever done anything like this, yet now I feel more inclined than ever to continue expanding my knowledge in computer science and coding. I am so glad that Aina and I had the opportunity to meet during the midterm, because having someone to bounce ideas off of and learn alongside turned out to be really beneficial. We communicated great as partners, and even though I usually choose to tackle projects individually, I wouldn't have wanted to do this assignment any other way."

Aina says...
"This project was initially really scary for me because I was really struggling with bootstrap and html. However, I started to get the hand of it, it actually became a lot of fun. It's really satisfying to see code turn into a working web page. I definitely feel way more confidence about using html now. Brittany was a great partner to work with and I'm really excited about how our website turned out."

Why Tumblr?
Our preferred blogging platform is Tumblr because it is user friendly, well established in digital society, and offers billions of posts about a vast array of topics. For this project, we chose to create a new Tumblr profile to post from, seeing as we have both personally posted on this platform since technology came into our lives at young ages. Given how much content Tumblr contains, we like how it allows you to choose from many different categories of interests before sharing blogs that may be of no relevance to us, especially in regards to this assignment. Since our NGO is focused on the Covid-19 Endemic, we chose categories like health and wellness, politics, news, and science. Tumblr then designed us a dashboard according to our interests. The layout posts are shown with is eye-catching and easy to navigate. Moreover, designing our blogs appearance was straightforward and quick; posting is simple and the option to add tags that connect our blog's topic to others that are similar is a great feature.
