“I’ve never known you to be so anxious.” It is a chide, a tsk on her tongue as she pulled out the wrought iron seat across the streetside cafe table from him. “I’ve only just got in. Give a girl a chance to get her bearings.” As if she did not know every concrete inch beneath her boots upon touching down, as if this city did not sing every secret to her. She leaned back in the seat, feasting like a sponge, sucking up the sight of him. Her lips crooked up like a crowbar, and only then did she properly greet him with indulgent delight. “Hello, Handsome...”

Kubrick Stare [x][x]
Named for the film director Stanley Kubrick, who made at least eight movies where a major character has this facial expression. When some other show or film uses it, it’s frequently a homage to Kubrick. Generally it symbolizes that the character in question is either really, really pissed or really becoming deranged, and the person they’re looking at is really, really screwed. Other times—usually when combined with a smile—it means they’re feeling really, really clever. Either way, it’s really creepy and ominous. Although depending on the context, it can also be very Badass.

“I don’t believe you are the type of man who makes purchases without being absolutely assured of their value.” She highlighted pointedly, the dimple at the right hand corner of her mouth creating a more daring line; spreading thin her painted lips in a wider atrocity. The utensil twists up, teeth parting, clicking softly over the treat like a pair of handcuffs, tongue pressed flat upon the prongs and sliding it fully onto the curl of her palate. Twin dark, arched brows lift in a merry sort of punctuation. A tease. Not sexual in nature. A tease, as the epicenter of the definition of the word. Enjoyment is the crux of the issue and in this esteemed, illustrious company enjoyment was tenfold. His profile was not considered an element she expounds upon, that is merely information. There is a blue streak of recognition, one chemical in the brain sparked to another, familiar as the tail of a comet. There are wavelengths of...similarities between them. Twins in separate cradles... “There are worse things to waste money on.”

”if i were trying to seduce you, you wouldn’t have to ask.”
His tone is not unlike her own in that there’s no venom to the comment whatsoever; he has a shared disinterested in being particular serious towards either endeavour. His eyes flicker across her expression in the gloom, curious. She has a curious, delicate way of holding the fork; it seems distantly ludicrous that that, of all things, is something he takes notice of.
“Just making conversation,” he clarifies, leaning back, taking up a drink in his hands and leaving the dessert in hers - for now. He tilts his head. ”You can tell me how it is. If it’s worth the money, for one.”

A Black Hole is an extraordinarily massive, improbably dense knot of spacetime that makes a living swallowing or slinging away any morsel of energy that strays too close to its dark, twisted core. Anyone fortunate (or unfortunate) enough to directly observe one of these beasts in the wild would immediately notice the way its colossal gravitational field warps all of the light from the stars and galaxies behind it, a phenomenon known as gravitational lensing.
Thanks to the power of supercomputers, a curious observer no longer has to venture into outer space to see such a sight. A team of astronomers has released their first simulated images of the lensing effects of not just one, but two black holes, trapped in orbit by each other’s gravity and ultimately doomed to merge as one.
